BREAKING NEWS: TVET Placement Results Released

Students who applied for TVET courses through KUCCPS have now been notified of the courses and institutions where they have been placed. Kindly log in to your KUCCPS portal to confirm your placement details.

For those who have been placed in institutions or courses that were not their first choice and would want to change, KUCCPS will open the transfer portal in July to allow students to change both institutions and courses. A transfer fee of Ksh 1,000 will be required.

If your intention is only to change the course while remaining in the same institution, that process is done after admission to your institution. However, approval of course changes will depend on the availability of space and is therefore not guaranteed.

Students who have been placed in Certificate programmes (Level 5) despite qualifying for Diploma programmes (Level 6) will also have an opportunity to apply for course changes during the transfer period or after admission to their institutions.

Those who have not secured placement, especially many applicants who selected university TVETs, are encouraged to revise their courses since the KUCCPS portal has been reopened. Students who had not applied but wish to join colleges for the September 2026 intake can also submit their applications now.

The portal will remain open until 8th June.

Wishing all applicants the very best. Congratulations to those who have secured placement.

If you opened the KUCCPS revision portal expecting to find Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy or Engineering โ€” they're not there. Here's why, and what your real options are right now.

KUCCPS confirmed that degree programmes including Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Engineering were filled during the first application window due to high demand compared to available spaces. Once all slots were taken, the system automatically removed them from the portal.

This is not a technical error. It is not a mistake. The slots are genuinely full. There is no backdoor.

KUCCPS CEO Agnes Mercy Wahome noted that the high demand for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields rapidly exhausted the available slots. Once the threshold was reached, the system automatically rendered the courses unavailable for the revision cycle.

Who Got Placed Already
A total of 212,510 students who attained a mean grade of C+ and above have already applied and secured provisional placements. Students who received an SMS notification confirming provisional placement are advised NOT to apply again during the revision window โ€” their details will be communicated in July 2026.

If you got an SMS saying you're provisionally placed โ€” sit tight. Don't touch the portal. Your placement is being processed and full details come in July.

What KUCCPS Says You Should Do If You Missed These Courses
KUCCPS encouraged students who applied for high-demand programmes but missed them due to competition to apply for available programmes in the current revision window.

KUCCPS advises applicants to carefully match their cluster points with available courses and review previous cut-off trends before submitting selections. Candidates should not rely on competitive courses such as Medicine, Surgery, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Engineering across all four choices โ€” these programmes attract the highest number of applicants nationally yet have very limited government-sponsored capacity.

So I got married last year to the man who sponsored my education. Have no kids yet though. Thanks to him, today I work as a government teacher in a secondary & high school. I actually just got recruited to this school where I teach Geography.

But please, I'm confused. There's this particular guy, actually a male colleague of mine. He has been working here as a Biology teacher for 6 years. Since I arrived & started work, he has been so nice to me, guiding & showing me around, buying me gifts too, and keeping me company so I don't feel alone since I'm new. We got so close after a month. I don't know, but I just really feel so comfortable & safe with him, even more than my husband. I love his company. If I'm to be honest, I feel like I can share & tell him everything.

Even my husband doesn't get me gifts like this guy does. He is such a kind & gentle man, i must comment, he truly knows how to treat a lady but something about his behavior, actually changed recently. Which leaves me confused. He switched from food gifts & started getting me underwear, bras, and perfumes. Even on 'Teachers Day' he bought me same gifts. This has actually been going on for about 2 weeks now. Please people, this keeps me wondering if it's okay that i keep collecting these gifts. Considering the fact that, I'm a married woman.

Truth is, we've been so close, and I don't know how to go about rejecting these gifts since he is actually doing it with pure intentions, with no strings attached, and he's been so nice to me ever since I got here. I plead for your advice & guidance ๐Ÿ™
