GOD SPECIALIZES IN PUTTING PEOPLE WHERE THEY DON'T BELONG
Some of the greatest stories in Scripture began with someone being told:
"You don't belong here."
But God said:
"Watch Me."

1 Samuel 2:7-8 KJV
“The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory...”

Did you see the movement?
Dust → Princes.
Dunghill → Throne.
God takes people from places they never imagined leaving...
and puts them in places they never imagined entering.

That's why you cannot use somebody's current position to predict their final destination.

Mercy can change the trajectory.
Mercy can rewrite the record.
Mercy can open a door your résumé cannot explain.
Don't despise the vessel because of what it used to contain.
God knows what He has put inside it.

Tomorrow, we begin moving toward Sunday's encounter.

GOD PUT PEOPLE IN JESUS' FAMILY WHO SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE

Read the genealogy of Jesus carefully.
Then ask yourself:
Why are THESE people here?
Rahab.
Ruth.
Tamar.
Bathsheba — referred to as "the wife of Uriah."
People with complicated stories.
People from outside Israel.
People whose backgrounds would make religious people uncomfortable.
Yet God deliberately wrote them into the story leading to Jesus.
Why?
Because the gospel was never going to be a private club for people with perfect histories.

Romans 9:25-26 KJV
“As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.”

WHERE THEY SAID "YOU DON'T BELONG" — GOD SAID "THEY ARE MINE."
That's mercy.
And perhaps the most powerful thing about mercy is this:
God doesn't need your past to look impressive before He can make your future glorious.
There is a reason we called this teaching VESSELS OF MERCY.

You really needed to hear this one.

MERCY CANCELS THE SENTENCE
What if the thing you thought was the end of your story...
was only the place where mercy was about to begin?
Mercy is not God pretending you did nothing wrong.
Mercy is God refusing to let your wrong have the final word.
Mercy cancels judgement.
Mercy removes condemnation.
Mercy rewrites names.

1 Peter 2:10 KJV
“Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”

Look at that transformation:
NOT A PEOPLE → PEOPLE OF GOD.
NO MERCY → OBTAINED MERCY.

That's what mercy does.
It takes people who seemingly don't belong...
and gives them a place at the table.

It takes the rejected...
and makes them chosen.
It takes the forgotten...
and makes them remembered.
Mercy has a way of rewriting stories.
And this Sunday, we discovered just how radical God's mercy really is.

YOU ARE NOT JUST SOMEONE WHO RECEIVED MERCY

There is a difference between receiving mercy and becoming a vessel of mercy.
Paul doesn't merely say that we are people who have experienced mercy.
He calls us:
VESSELS OF MERCY.

A vessel is a container.
That means God didn't just rescue you from something.
He put something in you that is supposed to reach somebody else.

Romans 9:23 KJV
“And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,”

Think about that.
You are carrying evidence that God can rewrite a story.
Your past doesn't disqualify you.
Your failures don't cancel His purpose.
Your background doesn't make you unusable.
You are a vessel of mercy.

But Sunday, we went much deeper than simply saying, "God is merciful."
We began asking:
What happens when mercy enters a person's identity, history and destiny?
Some revelations cannot be reduced to a social media caption.
You had to be in the room.

You don't stop being a Christian when you enter the office on Monday.
You don't stop being a priest when you enter the boardroom.
You don't stop representing God when you open your business.
The marketplace needs priests.
Not just preachers.
Not just pastors.
Not just worship leaders.
YOU.

1 Peter 2:9 KJV
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”

The marketplace is where you negotiate.
Where you hire.
Where you fire.
Where you buy.
Where you sell.
Where you invest.
Where you sign contracts.
Where you make decisions.

And therefore:
YOUR PRIESTHOOD MUST ENTER THE MARKETPLACE WITH YOU.

Sunday we discovered why Abraham could walk away from money that others would have killed to receive.
Tomorrow, we're opening the doors for you to come and hear the solution.

NOT ALL MONEY IS THE SAME

Here's a question that will disturb you:
Can you tell the difference between money you should receive and money you should refuse?

Abraham could.

He had just won a major economic battle.
Then the king of S***m offered him the goods.
Abraham said NO.
Why?

Because priesthood had given him something money couldn't buy:
DISCERNMENT.

We spend years learning how to MAKE money.
But how many of us have learned how to DISCERN money?

How many opportunities have you called blessings simply because they were profitable?

How many doors have you entered because they paid well, only to discover later that they were costing you something money couldn't replace?

Proverbs 10:22 KJV
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

The question isn't merely, "How much will I make?"
Ask:
"What will this transaction make of me?"

That's Divine Intelligence.
And that's the conversation we started Sunday.
