💡 _Be eager to seize this moment._

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

❝ Jumu‘ah is comprised of twelve portions of time. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last period after ‘Asr. ❞

📚 [Abū Dāwūd]

Don’t pay attention to those who downplay the power of duʿāʾ for Gaza — it is something immense. At the same time, don’t be misled by those who think making duʿāʾ means we can neglect all other responsibilities.

Gaza is going through unbearable pain. Gaza needs our duʿāʾ, our wealth, and every support we can give.

Ask Allah for all your needs, and ask Him to rectify the situation of the Ummah in all parts of the world, especially for our oppressed brothers and sisters in Gaza.

If you ever feel down because your day is passing without accomplishments, then fill it with the remembrance of Allah.

Remember Him while walking, riding, sitting, or lying down. That is the true achievement of the successful ones.

And among the greatest daily achievements is to say 100 times:

لا إلهَ إلَّا اللهُ وحدَه لا شريكَ له، له المُلْكَ، وله الحَمدُ، وهو على كلِّ شيءٍ قدير.

La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu al-mulk wa lahu al-hamd, wa huwa 'alã kulli shay'in qadir

The Messenger ﷺ said:

❝No one will come on the Day of Judgment with something better than what you came with, except the one who did more.❞

True success is not in how much of the dunya you can check off, but in how much dhikr you carry to your scales.

Hidaya can be divided into two categories:

➊ Hidayat ilham wa tawfiq

This is reflected in the verse, "You do not guide whom you love." (28:56) Just as God alone creates, sustains, grants life and causes death, He alone bestows this form of divine guidance.

➋ Hidayat dhalala wa irshad

This is reflected in the verse, "You lead to the straight path." (42:52) Prophets and all those who teach and show the way have been granted the capacity to provide this kind of guidance, "And We made them leaders, guiding others by Our command." (21:73)

❝ Tawhīd is the greatest means of (seeking) forgiveness. If even a speck of tawhīd was placed on a mountain of sins, it would turn them into good deeds. ❞

📚 [Ibn Rajab (raḥimahullāh)]

‘Aqeedah (Islamic creed) is one of the most important sources for nurturing faith, patience, steadfastness, and sincere servitude to Allah.

However, when it is reduced to theoretical and argumentative issues, its intended spiritual power is lost.

THE DEATH OF THE SCHOLARS

‎The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said:

‎Verily, Allāh does not withhold knowledge by snatching it away from his servants, but rather he withholds knowledge by taking the souls of scholars, until no scholar remains and people follow ignorant leaders.

They are asked and they issue judgments without knowledge. Thus, they are astray and lead others astray.

📚 [Ṣaḥīḥ Al-Bukhārī 100 | Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2673]

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

❝ Indeed, in Paradise, there are rooms whose exterior can be seen from their interior, and their interior can be seen from their exterior.” A bedouin stood up and asked, “Who are they for, O Messenger of Allah?”

He ﷺ replied, “They are for those who speak good, feed others, regularly fast, and pray at night whilst people are asleep ❞

Muharram: The Month of Allah

We recently witnessed the blessed month of Dhul Ḥijjah and are yet again fortunate to witness another blessed month; a chance for us to begin the New Islamic Year with good deeds, righteous intentions and praiseworthy resolutions.

May Allah make this year our best year and the days of this year our best days; both individually and collectively as an Ummah. Āmīn.

Virtues of the 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

The Messenger of Allah [ﷺ] said, "There are no days during which the righteous action is more pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah)." He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?" He [ﷺ] replied, "Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it."

[Sahih Al-Bukhari 1249]

Ramadhan & Our Families.

Ramadhan can sometimes challenge a relationship, especially if it involves rituals which are heavily cultural and, perhaps even, contrary to the spirit of the month (e.g. elaborate ifṭārs and fancy Iftar parties). Don’t make food the focus of your Ramadhan. Make it about Allah, and you will witness immense blessings in your home and marriage.

Seek the blessings of Ramadhan and use them to strengthen your connection to each other by connecting to Allah. Support each other and encourage each other to increase in ʿibādah. Serve each other, share the knowledge that you have attained, and discuss your reflections with each other. Listen to a lecture or read a book together.

ZAKATUL - FITR

Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz Ibn Baaz (رحمه الله) said:

"... Sadaqat-ul-Fitr or Zakat-ul-Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim, whether young or old, male or female, a free person or a slave. This is based on what is authentically reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه) that he said, “Allah's Messenger ﷺ enjoined to pay one Sa’a of dates or one Sa’a of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer ‘Eid prayers.” (Agreed upon by Imams Al-Bukhari and Muslim) ..."

Ramadhan: A Month of Victory

“And victory comes only from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Wise” (3:126).

Throughout Islam’s history, Ramadhan has been the month of victory. A month wherein the religion’s destined heroes were granted victory by Allah al-Naṣīr (The Ultimate Helper). Men who were true to Allah, served His dīn and strived to implement His commands. They honoured their covenant and so Allah aided them, vanquished their enemies and granted Islam victory.

May Allah al-ʿAzīz (The Exalted in Might) grant honour and victory to the Muslims of Gaza and the rest of the Muslim Ummah. May Allah al-Mawlā (The Protective Ally) protect them and the entire Muslim Ummah from all harm.
