The building upgraded from physical buildings to spiritual buildings...
“In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:”

The former was made by stones,the latter living stones(us).
“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Peter 2:5 (KJV)
-When Jesus said, ™I will build my church" He was not building hses we normally build with bricks and iron sheets,He is building us(His body,the Church).
-buildings are places of gathering,where we go to fellowship together, podium is a place we stand so that everybody can see the preacher because it is sometimes raised .
-Christians have their Altar and they are God's house.
“WE HAVE AN ALTAR, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.”

“But Christ as a son over his own house; WHOSE HOUSE ARE WE, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.”

-That's why the first church had services in their homes because they were the church not building.
Its not about a place,its worshippin God in truth and in Spirit.
