🌿 WALKING BY FAITH, LIVING IN HEALTH 🚶🏽‍♀️🙏🏽

What a beautiful day it was at St. Francis of Assisi – Customs as we came together on the 15th of August 2026 in conjunction with the Mombasa Walk Movement for our Church Health Walk! 💚

With every step, we celebrated faith, health and community, reminding ourselves that caring for our bodies is also part of honouring God’s gift to us.

From fellowship to fitness, laughter to prayer, it was a wonderful reminder that we are stronger in faith, better in health, and united in community. 🤝🏽

✨UNVEILING OUR NEW MARIAN GROTTO✨

Our parish was truly blessed as our new Marian Grotto was solemnly consecrated on 31st July 2026 by His Grace Archbishop Martin Kivuva.

This sacred place, dedicated to our Blessed Mother, now stands as a beacon of prayer, hope, and peace for all who seek her loving intercession. May every soul who visits this grotto encounter comfort, renewed faith, and a deeper closeness to Christ through the Blessed Virgin Mary.

✨ YCA Annual Thanksgiving Mass & Harambee 2026 ✨

On 1st June 2026, the Young Catholic Adults (25–35) came together for a joyful Annual Thanksgiving Mass & Harambee, hosted by the North Deanery.

Despite the rain pouring down, our spirits never wavered—it couldn’t stop the celebration, thanksgiving, fellowship and generosity!

A proud moment for Customs Parish YCA, who beautifully led the choir and emerged as the top contributing parish in the Archdiocese, followed by Cathedral and Mikindani parishes. 👏🏆 The vibrant celebrations were made even more memorable by the outstanding performance of the St. Claret Primary School Band, whose music added great colour and energy to the day. 🎺🥁

The day also featured the presentation of certificates to YCA members transitioning from the movement, recognising their commitment and service.

We were honoured by the presence of Archbishop Martin Kivuva, Coadjutor Archbishop Dominic Kimengich, Archdiocesan Youth Chaplain Rev. Fr. Gregory Mwakio, Assistant Youth Chaplain Rev. Fr. Polycarp Arori, Rev. Fr. Flavian Mwambingu, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Boliwadan, Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa (CAM) Youth Coordinator Br. Geoffrey Nyambane, together with our YCA Patrons, Matrons and all our esteemed guests.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who prayed, contributed, volunteered and supported the success of this year’s Thanksgiving Mass & Harambee. Your generosity and dedication continue to strengthen our YCA family.

Rain fell, but God’s blessings poured even more abundantly! 🙌

Today, during the Second Mass, three candidates were officially commissioned to join St. Anne.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Linus Japannni, marking a joyful and significant occasion for the parish community.

We congratulate the newly commissioned members and pray that God may guide and strengthen them as they begin this new chapter of faith and service.
