BUILDING A FIRM CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION

PART (2)

2) To build a firm christian foundation we believe in Jesus.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Romans 10: 9-10 If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess your faith and you are saved.
John 14:6 .... I'm the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man came to seek the lost.

3) To build a firm christian foundation we must consistently practice Jesus' teachings through Bible study, prayer, and obedience, not just passively hear them.

The Birth Of Jesus Is Prophesied In The Old Testament.
Isaiah 7:13-14 ..... the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and shall call Him Immanuel.
Isaiah 9:6-7 ... the coming child (Jesus) is a wonderful counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, prince of peace whose government will rest on His shoulders.
Isaiah 53 describes Jesus as the surfering servant. It explains all that shall happen to Him, His suffering, despised by people, His crusification, death and resurrection and the reason for His coming.

Good night.

BUILDING A FIRM CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION.

PART (1)

To build a firm christian foundation, we must first get to know the ground on which we are building.

In this case, we are building our foundation on God.
Let's first get to know who He is.

1. To build a firm christian foundation we must first know and acknowledge God's existence and His saving Power through Christ.
The book of Genesis traces the beginning of the world (Genesis 1-11) followed by the beginning of the Jewish people and salvation history.

i) The Beginning Of The World - Genesis 1-11

God is a powerful creator. He created the universe, earth and everything in it. He then created man in His own image and likeness.
The man was created without sin. They had a beautiful relationship with God. Then they disobeyed and causing spiral of sin.
~We have the story of Abraham, His obedience, failures and God's faithfulness in keeping His covenant.
~The story of Noah and the consequences of sin.
~The dispersal of people and the confusion of languages during the building of the tower of Babel.

KEY THEMES

1.God's powerful creation
2.Man created in the image of God
3.The will or the moral choice - the man was given some instructions at the garden of Eden but then given the liberty to make decisions.
4.Disobedience and loss
5. Cursed relationships. Our relationship with God and others was no longer the same.
6.Spiral of sin. Cain kills Abel

The Beginning Of The Jewish People And Salvation.
Genesis 12-20

Talks about the faithfulness of God to Abraham and his descendants. God keeps His promises.
Despite the families weaknesses and shortcomings (like when Abraham sired a child out of wedlock because of impatience), God still worked through their story. Sometimes God uses evil to fulfill His promises like in the story of Joseph.

KEY THEMES

1.God keeps His covenant
2.He is faithful
3.God's Sovereignty

Is witchcraft real?
Well, the question I should be asking you is, has Satan died?

The thing is, he is not more powerful than God! But for you to win, you have to be on God's side - obey His commandments.

CHURCH HUNTING.

~Apply the same criteria you use when choosing your friends.
~Apply and observe God's principles when choosing your church family.
Let no one gaslight you onto staying in a toxic environment.
Let no one gaslight you into belonging in a community where they serve other gods.

Continued......

My neighbors used to tell me how they would pluck mchicha and mnavu those days. But let me tell you, for about four years since I had settled there there wasn't any sine of those vegetables.
So after that banana yielded fruit, I planted mkunde and it did well. I planted more bananas and they also did well. Then I started noticing some few mnavu here and there. The following year there was increase. Then mchicha came. And now every rain season there's always plenty of them. And I now want a bigger shamba๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€.
As you can now see, the bananas and the skuma is doing just fine. It's now 8years since I settled here.

Now let me tell you something about employment. I have a diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality but si I have safaad. I used to enter every travel agent office to drop my CVs. I went to hotels but wapi. I tried emailing KAA, was told that there was an interview, traveled to Wilson Airport, was told that the interview happened the week before. They sent me to the headquarters, JKIA, dropped my CVs, am still optimistic ๐Ÿค—
One day as I was "window shopping for jobs", I used to walk with my CVs just in case. So on this day I saw a clearing and forwarding office huko docks and decided to drop my CV. I got inside and the staffs were seated in a school staff room arrangement and everyone was working on their laptop. So I said hi to the first person I had contact with and presented my case. But before I had finished talking, I heard a voice, similar to those "demonic laughter" in afrocema. So I left my papers boarded a matatu and went home. Inside that matatu, I cried. The man who was seated next to me noticed but I sobered up. I hate such kind of attention ๐Ÿ˜‚.
So I was invited in a church and one sunday, the Pastor by word of prophecy told me that I would get a job and that's how I found employment, not in the Tourism industry though.
