TOPIC : FORGIVENESS.
TEXT: 18:21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?"
22 Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
:10Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgivenβ€”if there was anything to forgiveβ€”I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake.
*WHAT IS FORGIVENESS?*
-Its a decision to let go of resentments and thoughts of revenge.
-It is a process through which we let bitterness out of our hearts and minds.

*STEPS TO TRUE FORGIVENESS.*

1.ACKNOWLEDGE THE PAIN BY ADMITTING YOU HAVE BEEN HURT.
2.OVERCOME THE SPIRIT OF BITTERNESS.
3.REMEMBER THE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS.
4.READ SCRIPTURES WHICH SPEAKS OUT ABOUT FORGIVENESS.
5.REMEMBER GOD'S FORGIVENESS THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST AND THE BIBLICAL COMMAND.
6.PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HURT YOU AND WISH THEM WELL.
7.CONTINUE FORGIVING UNCONDITIONALLY.

*CONSEQUENCES OF UNFORGIVEN ESS*
1.YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE FORGIVENESS. MATT6: but15-15
2.YOUR HEAVEN IS LOCKED πŸ”’ UP AND YOUR PRAYERS WILL NOT PE*****TE TO THE THRONE. Mark11:-25
3.UNFORGIVENESS HINDERS YOUR SACRIFICES NOT TO BE ACCEPTED. MATT5:23-25
-1SAM15:22 WE SHOULD OBEY GOD'S COMMANDS ON FORGIVENESS.
4.UNFORGIVENESS IMPRISONS,WE EXPERIENCE VERY LITTLE VICTORY BECAUSE WE ARE NOT FREE.
5.IT CREATES A CYCLE OF UNENDING BLAME.THIS WILL RESULTS TO HATING EACH OTHER FOR GENERATIONS.
6.IT CLOSES A DOOR FOR TRANSFORMATION, BECAUSE A PERSON IS FULL OF HATRED, BITTERNESS AND THOUGHTS OF REVENGE.

*BENEFITS OF FORGIVENESS.*
1.Forgiveness will help us recover our lost fortunes. Job42:10
2.Forgiveness prevents burnout by bringing mental and emotional healing.
3.Through forgiveness you will embrace peace, gratitude and joy.
4.We should forgive to be forgiven.
5.Forgiveness brings healing
- It makes you right before God and people .
-It gives you breakthrough .
- It clears your guilty.
-It reduces stress and anxiety .
- It keeps you healthy .
- It brings the fullness of joy .
-It brings unity among brethrens.
