SERIES: What Jesus Did For You
TOPIC: The Spirit of Truth

- Before being anointed by the Holy Spirit, Jesus spent years accumulating knowledge, understanding and wisdom. (Luke 2:46-52)
- Power works best where truth (knowledge, understanding and wisdom ) is present
- Zeal without knowledge is no good (Prov 19:2)
- The results that He experienced here on earth were based on the truth that He had access to; not just power
- His miracles were not just a manifestation of power, they were a manifestation of wisdom (Mark 6:2)
- The power you carry works according to the insight you have into reality (truth)

What did Jesus Do For You?
He asked the Father to give you the same Spirit of Truth He had access to! (John 14:16-17, John 16:12-13)

The devil's main work in your life is to keep you from truth.
- He is called a deceiver, the Father of lies (Rev 22:9, John 8:44)

- The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Truth because that is His main work in your life; revelation (Joel 2:28)
- Every word He speaks to you enlightens you on something new (Ps 119:130)

By the truth you receive from the Holy Spirit, you Channel your power . Lack of access to truth can make you appear powerless.

- The essence of prayer is bringing the heart of God on earth
- The heart of God is deep. You can be praying from the surface of His heart or from its depth
- Masses pray surface prayers

To get to the depths of God's heart, your interest in Him is key. Only people that diligently seek God get access to His whole heart

- Secrets are not for strangers. God must see your interest in Him
- It is the Holy Spirit that guides us into the depths of God
- Diligent seekers are rewarded by God's secrets
