Yesterday at Community Chapel Malindi, we experienced a powerful Sunday service marked by heartfelt praise and worship, testimonies, and the Word of God. We also celebrated Pastor Yvonne Didi Obara on turning a year younger.

Our Lead Pastor, Pastor Andrew Anthony Obara, shared a timely message on “The Mindset of Faith”, reminding us that a transformed life begins with a renewed mind.

📖 Anchor Scripture: Philippians 2:5
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”

Faith does not deny that our problems are real. Faith recognizes that God is greater than our problems.

We were reminded that:

• Faith looks to God, not the size of the problem.
• Faith walks by what God has said, not merely by what we see.
• Faith produces action—we trust God and obey Him.
• Faith does not demand a particular outcome; it trusts God even when we do not understand His answer.

The challenge is simple:

Don't let your circumstances determine how you see God. Let your faith in God determine how you see your circumstances.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

As we continue through our series, HAVING THE MIND OF CHRIST, may our minds be renewed, our faith strengthened, and our lives increasingly shaped by Christ.

Today, God opened an opportunity for Community Chapel Malindi to minister to His people at Malindi Sub-County Hospital, particularly in the Paediatric Ward.

We shared the love of Christ, prayed with the children and their families, and trusted God for healing, comfort and hope.

It was a privilege to serve, and above all, God was glorified.

“Let the little children come to Me…” Matthew 19:14)

We thank God for a successful Kingdom Basketball Tournament at Coral Key Basketball Court, Malindi! Gifted and talented youth from Kilifi and Malindi came together through the beautiful game of basketball.

Led by our Lead Pastor Andrew Anthony Obara together with the church leadership, Community Chapel Malindi was intentional about preaching the Gospel and engaging the community — encouraging young people to join Christ-centred churches, embrace responsible living, and stay away from drug abuse, crime and other destructive vices.

We give God all the glory because one young man gave his life to Christ, while many others purposed to begin attending church services in their neighbourhoods. We believe their lives will never be the same again!

Special appreciation to Malindi Nets Basketball Club, UTURN Society, and Malindi Pastors Fellowship for their valuable partnership and support.

To God be all the glory!

This past Sunday at Community Chapel Malindi, we continued our sermon series “THE MINDSET — Having the Mind of Christ” with a powerful and timely message by Elder Paul Qimani on “Renewing the Mind.”

Drawing from Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:22–24 and 2 Corinthians 10:5, Elder Paul reminded us that transformation begins in the mind. He challenged us to examine the thoughts we entertain because our thinking eventually influences our decisions, attitudes, actions and direction in life.

He emphasised that renewing the mind is not simply about positive thinking. It is about allowing the Word of God to reshape our thinking, deliberately rejecting thoughts and patterns that contradict God's truth, and bringing every thought under the authority of Christ.

The message challenged us to stop allowing old patterns of thinking to control our lives and instead develop a mindset shaped by God's Word, truth and the character of Christ.

The service was further enriched by powerful praise and worship and encouraging testimonies, creating a strong atmosphere of thanksgiving and spiritual reflection.

As we continue through The Mindset, the challenge remains clear:
- A renewed mind produces a transformed life.
- “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5)

What a wonderful Sunday at Community Chapel Malindi!

Our service was filled with heartfelt praise and worship, powerful testimonies, and the Word of God as we began our new sermon series, “THE MINDSET — Having the Mind of Christ.”

Our Lead Pastor, Pastor Andrew Anthony Obara , challenged us from Philippians 2:5 and Romans 12:1–2 to understand that a transformed life begins with a renewed mind.

The mind of Christ calls us to think, love, forgive, serve, obey and live like Christ—choosing humility over pride, obedience over rebellion, and God's glory over self.

As we continue this series, may our minds be continually renewed by God's Word and the Holy Spirit.

This past Sunday at Community Chapel Malindi, we experienced a profound time in God's presence as we gathered for worship, fellowship, and the ministry of His Word.

The service was filled with heartfelt praise and worship, encouraging testimonies of God's faithfulness, and a timely message delivered by Minister Cicilia Mwawasi titled "Faithful Stewards in the Marketplace."

Drawing from Colossians 3:23–24, Proverbs 11:1, and Matthew 25:14–30, we were reminded that the marketplace is wherever God has placed us to work, do business, serve others, or create value. Whether in education, healthcare, agriculture, transport, technology, business, or any other field, we are called to represent Christ through integrity, diligence, excellence, faithfulness, wisdom, and trustworthiness.

The message emphasized that God has entrusted each of us with gifts, opportunities, and resources that we are to steward faithfully. Like the servants in the Parable of the Talents, we are called to develop what God has placed in our hands for His glory.

We were further encouraged through Scriptures such as Genesis 1:26–28, 1 Corinthians 4:2, Luke 16:10, Proverbs 22:29, Daniel 6:3–4, Genesis 39:2–6, Ecclesiastes 9:10, and Matthew 5:16, reminding us that faithfulness in the workplace is an act of worship and a powerful testimony of Christ to the world.

May we continue to honour God in every assignment He has entrusted to us, serving wholeheartedly as unto the Lord and allowing our lives to shine for His glory.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." (Colossians 3:23)
