SERIES: THE HAMAN SYNDROME

Text: Esther 6–7
Part 1: The Condition of the Heart

Theme:Our greatest victories or failures begin in the heart.

Introduction
Haman was powerful, wealthy, respected, and trusted by the king. From the outside, he appeared successful. Yet inwardly, he was ruled by pride, selfish ambition, and the desire to be honored above others.

Many people spend years building careers, ministries, businesses, and reputations while neglecting the condition of their hearts. God is not impressed by outward success if inward character is missing.

Before God changes our circumstances, He often begins by transforming our hearts.

Key Lessons
1.Character is more valuable than status.
Positions and titles may earn respect, but it is godly character that sustains lasting influence.

2.Success without humility is dangerous.
Haman's achievements could not protect him from the destructive power of pride.

3.God is interested in who we are becoming, not only in what we are achieving.
The Lord values inner transformation above outward accomplishments.

4.The greatest battles are often fought within the heart.
Pride, envy, selfish ambition, and insecurity begin internally before they become visible in our actions. Guarding the heart is essential to living a life that honors God.

Today in church we learned that God does not give only one kind of grace — His grace is manifold, varied, and distributed to different people in different measures.

This means no believer is empty. Every child of God carries grace for purpose, impact, and kingdom assignment.

The 5 Types of Grace:

1️⃣ Saving Grace – Grace that brings us into Christ.
“For by grace you have been saved…” (Ephesians 2:8)

2️⃣ Enabling Grace – Grace that empowers us to serve, work, and be effective.
“Yet not I, but the grace of God in me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10)

3️⃣ Gift Grace – Grace expressed through spiritual gifts and talents.
Teaching, leadership, giving, mercy, and more. (Romans 12:6-8)

4️⃣ Opportunity Grace – Grace that opens doors, divine connections, and strategic moments.
(Colossians 4:3)

5️⃣ Sustaining Grace – Grace that carries us through pain, hardship, and difficult seasons.
“My grace is sufficient for you.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

🙏 Never say you have nothing. If you are in Christ, you carry grace. Discover it, grow it, and use it for God’s glory.

MONDAY DECLARATION PRAYER
(Isaiah 41:10–13)

Father, this week we choose not to fear, for You are with us. Strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with Your righteous right hand.

Lord, we declare that every opposition against our lives is defeated. Those who rise against us shall be brought to nothing, for You fight for us.

We hold onto Your hand this week, O God. Lead us, guide us, and help us in every step. We will not be afraid, for You are our helper.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Gospel Community Church Machakos 2nd Anniversary. Celebrating the faithfulness of the Lord. We are grateful for our Overseer and Spiritual Cover Bishop Paul Muema. We thank God for the disciples of Christ in the church so far. Glory to the most High God.
