The more serious the situation is, the more selective you need to be who you keep company with. Get away from people who laugh at and mock the things of God. You don't want them around you when you're endeavoring to believe for your life. It matters not if they're friends and relatives. Get away from them! Put them out of the house! This can be uncomfortable but because of the seriousness of the matter you can't worry if they'll get their feelings hurt. This is a matter of life and death. Fear will shut you down but faith will open the door and let good things happen to you. Be very selective who you allow to be around you because environment makes a difference. People in a place affect the environment of that place and this is why Jesus found it necessary to put the people out. "But when He had put them all out, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying" (Mark 4:40). Jesus reached down and did what Jairus asked Him to do. He took her by the hand and spoke to her saying, "Little girl, I say to you, arise." Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement (vs. 42,43).
