EBENEZER: ~ This Far Is Ebenezer:
Luke 7:13-16
Luke 7:[13] When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep." [14] Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise." [15] So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother. [16] Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, "God has visited His people."
Weep not. God has visited His people.
Jesus was entering the city of Nain with a big crowd following Him, and at the gate of the city they met mourners. They were going to bury the only son of a widow. That is not an ordinary burial. There was a great loss, and there was great mourning. The whole city of Nain was going with this woman, comforting her. And the Bible says when Jesus saw her, He had compassion on her. He turned to her and said, weep not. My Bible says do not weep. In the King James it says weep not.
I love Jesus. He has a solution to every situation, even the most difficult one. He didn't say many things to her. Jesus is an action man. He wasn't comforting her. He had a solution. He went straight to the open coffin and touched it, and those who were carrying the coffin stopped. Jesus turned to the dead man and said, young man, arise. That's authority. Immediately the young man who was dead sat up, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. The mother was mourning a loss, but Jesus said to her, do not weep.
I hear Him saying to somebody, weep not. The trouble that has made you weep, the problems that have made you weep, the losses that have made you weep, I have got good news for you. Your Master has come. I declare every loss that has made you cry, over. I declare every pain that you have been going through, over. I say to the sick, weep not. I say to those that have been bound, weep not. I say to those that are struggling, weep not. Everything dead is coming back to life. Businesses that have not been producing because they died are coming back to life. If you lost hope, He is bringing back hope. If you lost your business, lost your family, lost your children into drunkenness, whatever you have lost, God is restoring it.
I came to Karatina to say, God has visited His people. He has come to help His people. He has come to change this region. The glory that has been lost is coming back. I called Karatina a city, and I am not going to change what I said. I see industries coming. I see the economy of Karatina coming back. When Jesus gave the son back to his mother, great fear came upon all. When the fear of God leaves a region, the devil takes over. But the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom, has come back. A woman who had suffered for 26 years was healed on that platform, escorted by her son as evidence that God has done a mighty thing.
Wherever you are reading this, don't miss the visitation. The God who raised a dead boy, the God who raised Lazarus from the dead, is going to work a miracle for you. Have faith in that God. The God of mercy wants to show mercy to you right now. He wants to take away all your sin, show you His goodness, and give you a hope and a future. There is no greater miracle than this, that your sins may be forgiven, your story changed, and your name written in heaven. The good God has visited His people. The good God has come to help. Your help is here. Weep not.!!
