"Our borders should become a bridge of peace, not a boundary of conflict." Rev. David Nakain, Bishop AIC TURKANA AREA

24/09/2026

AIC Turkana Area Bishop Rev. David Nakain has called on leaders from the Turkana and West Pokot communities to prioritize peace over political interests.

Bishop Nakain made the remarks while leading a group of more than 20 bishops from Turkana and West Pokot counties in a joint prayer mission seeking peace and reconciliation along the Turkana–West Pokot border.

“Let us not focus only on votes; let us focus on peace,” Bishop Nakain urged the leaders.

He called for greater commitment to dialogue, reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, emphasizing the need for leaders to put the safety and well-being of communities at the centre of their leadership.

AIC Mlimani Lodwar joins the call for peace and supports the church-led efforts to promote unity, forgiveness and reconciliation between the two communities.

I sincerely wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to the entire Mission Team and everyone who contributed in one way or another towards the success of our recent evangelism mission to AIC Nawoyang’ol Nakurio village in Kerio Ward.

As the Mission Chairman, I truly thank each and every one of you for your commitment, sacrifice, teamwork and willingness to serve. The success of this mission was not the work of one person, but the result of everyone coming together with one heart and one purpose—to serve God and reach His people with the Gospel.

I particularly appreciate the Mission Department leadership, including Mr. Apollo, the Mission Secretary, and Mrs. Mercy Kitur, Treasurer/Welfare, for their dedication, coordination and continuous support throughout the mission.

I also extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported the mission through prayers, finances, transport, food, accommodation, logistics, preaching, teaching, encouragement and other forms of service. Whether your contribution was seen or unseen, please know that it was greatly valued and contributed to the success of the mission.

I am deeply grateful for the unity, patience and cooperation demonstrated by the team throughout the journey. We travelled together, served together, prayed together and returned safely together. Above all, we witnessed God's faithfulness throughout the entire mission.

My prayer is that the Lord will richly bless every person who sacrificed their time, resources and energy for this mission. May God reward you for every sacrifice made, strengthen you in your service, bless your families, provide for your needs and continue to use you mightily in His Kingdom. May the seeds of the Gospel planted during this mission grow and produce lasting fruit.

As we return from the field, let us not allow the fire that brought us together to fade. May this mission strengthen our faith and inspire us to continue reaching more people and taking the Gospel wherever God sends us.

Together in faith. Together in service. Together for the Kingdom.

God bless you all, and to God be all the glory!

‎The AIC Lodwar Mlimani Mission Team has successfully concluded its evangelism mission in AIC Nawoyang’ol and safely returned to Lodwar. We give all glory to God for the lives reached, souls encouraged, prayers lifted, and seeds of the Gospel planted throughout these days of ministry.
‎
‎We sincerely appreciate AIC Lodwar Mlimani Church for the support, prayers and commitment that made this mission possible. Special appreciation goes to Hon. Emathe Namuar , the family of Mr. Charles Nyanga (Nancha Cruise), and the family of Elder Henry Imoni for supporting the team and providing transport/logistics throughout the mission.
‎
‎We are equally grateful to every individual who contributed in one way or another, whether through prayer, finances, transport, hospitality, teaching, preaching or service. Every contribution played a part in advancing the work of the Kingdom.
‎
‎As we return to Lodwar, we do not return empty-handed. We return with testimonies, renewed faith and a deeper burden for souls. Though the mission in the field has ended, the work continues. The seeds have been planted; may God water them, cause them to grow and bring forth lasting fruit.
‎
‎The fire of revival continues to burn.
‎The Gospel continues to advance.
‎The harvest belongs to the Lord!
‎
‎To God be all the glory!

DAY THREE | ADVANCING THE GOSPEL

The fire of revival continues to burn as the AIC Mlimani Mission Team enters its third day of the ministry! Today, the team was divided into two groups, carrying the Gospel, prayer and the message of hope to two different congregations.
‎
‎Evangelist John Etelej, Mrs. Sylvia Nakain and their team ministered at AIC Nakurio, while another team, led by Ikone Godfrey the Mission's Department Chairman, remained at AIC Nawoyang’ol.
‎
‎We thank God for every servant who surrendered themselves to the work of the Kingdom. Special appreciation goes to Mrs. Mercy Kitur, who passionately ministered to the Sunday School at AIC Nawoyang’ol, while Ms. Christine Lokolio ministered to the Sunday School at AIC Nakurio.
‎
‎Beyond preaching and teaching, the team also had an opportunity to share the little food supplies they had with the Christians of AIC Nawoyang’ol. We sincerely appreciate AIC Lodwar Mlimani Church and all those who contributed towards this support. It was a simple gesture, but a powerful expression of love, fellowship and Christian unity.
‎
‎This evangelical mission was not merely about visiting villages; it is about carrying the presence of God, proclaiming Christ, awakening faith and calling hearts back to the Lord. We believe that every prayer prayed, every soul reached and every Word preached is a seed that God will cause to bear fruit.
‎
‎The fire is burning; The Gospel is advancing. Lives are being touched. Revival is taking root!
‎
‎To God be all the glory!
