It is a registered entity to help the less privileged in the community; The women, orphan children, and the youth. The organization is a non profit entity registered in Trans- Nzoia County. VCEP- Works with Women, Vulnerable children and Youth in the Rural areas of Trans-Nzoia and Bungoma Counties through the following thematic areas:
- Economic empowerment
Under economic empowerment ,we work with f

amilies particularly women through tailor-made training to empower them with necesssary skills to initiate small service based businesses to generate income and eventually improve their livelihoods.
- Child education
VCEP strongly believes that the cycle of poverty can be broken when people are educated thus child education is a key thematic area owing to a high number of rural children not accessing their basic education despite the free Primary education in Kenya due to lack of scholastic materials, parental death and marital problems. Our commitment and prayer is that every school going child regardless of the problems faced should be in school and supported to enjoy his / her basic rights.
- Child and maternal health advocacy. Three out of five expectant mothers give birth at home in rural areas despite the government subsidizing maternity charges which results in higher child mortality rates at birth.Even with the 4.9 per cent infant mortality rate, 72,000 children below the age of one year died in 2012 while another 40,000 did not survive their first month of birth. Mortality rates for children under five years were higher in males than their female counterparts. This is according to the " The Levels and Trends in Child Mortality 2013 report, written with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund, the World Health Organisation, the United Nations and the World Bank"

- Capacity building
We endevour to grow other like minded organizations in skills transfer and networking to deliver their mandate effectively. It is worthy to note that, VCEP does not prescribe solutions to problems facing the target beneficiaries but works with the beneficiaries to come up with working and lasting solutions in a participatory manner.
