And just like that — the final day arrived! But what a way to finish! Day 4 brought the DLRA Conference 2026 to a glorious, Spirit-filled close. Here's how the curtain came down 👇

📖 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗵
One final time, Rev. Dr. John Rotich opened the Word and sent the delegates out the same way they started — anchored in Scripture. A fitting reminder that everything in ministry begins and ends with the Word of God. 📖🙏
📊 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
Delegates took time to reflect, review and give feedback on the conference. A healthy, important exercise — because a Church that evaluates is a Church that keeps growing! 💡✅

The conference was officially closed by none other than our Diocesan Bishop, His Lordship Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Chemengich. His closing words were a charge, a blessing and a commissioning — sending every Lay Reader back to their stations refreshed, re-equipped and re-ignited for the work ahead! 🙌✝️

Day 3 was PACKED — Word, wisdom, laughter and fire all in one day! ☕📖⚽🔥
After breakfast, 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗵 opened with Bible Exposition, followed by rich sessions on 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 by 𝗩𝗲𝗻. 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗮, 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 by 𝗩𝗲𝗻. 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘂 𝗠𝗯𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗮, and 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 by 𝗩𝗲𝗻. 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗞𝗼𝘀𝗴𝗲𝗶. 💡🙌
𝗟𝗥 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗻𝘆 then led a fun-filled games session — because joy is part of ministry too! 😄⚽
And as has become tradition at this conference — 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗢𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶 closed the night with Revival fire that left no one the same! 🔥🙌

Day 2 kicked off with the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 by our Diocesan Bishop, 𝗥𝘁. 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗵, followed by a powerful session from Guest Speaker 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗵. 📖✨
The afternoon saw the Bishop lead a rich session on 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 — deep, relevant and necessary for every Lay Reader in ministry today. 🌍✝️
And the night? 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗢𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶 led a Revival Session that set hearts ablaze. The fire fell! 🔥🙌

From 14th to 17th April 2026, Anglican men from across the Diocese of Kitale gathered at Kitale Girls School for four remarkable days — and what days they were! It was a great success, it exceeded our expectations, and God moved powerfully. 🔥🙏

🙏 TO GOD BE THE GLORY
We give thanks to the Almighty for every session, every devotion, every discussion, and every moment that made this conference truly memorable.

💐 SPECIAL APPRECIATION
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Chemengich for his presence, leadership, and ministry throughout the four days. 🙏

📚✝️ DIOCESAN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (DLI) | SERIES 7 — WORKSHOP | 14th April 2026

We hosted the DLI Series 7 Workshop this week — a significant step in the Diocese of Kitale's commitment to raising equipped, grounded and effective leaders for the Church!
The workshop was facilitated on behalf of the Diocesan Bishop, by the DLI Coordinator, Ven. Hurbert Weyao and DLI Secretary, Rev. Ken Sile — who ably led the team through a session designed to sharpen and equip trainers who will now carry this vital work across the diocese.

📖 ABOUT DLI SERIES 7
Themed "Pressing On Toward the Goal" (Philippians 3:14), the 2026 DLI Manual is designed to:
🎯 Equip diocesan clergy and lay leaders with biblical and practical leadership skills
💪 Strengthen their capacity for effective mission and ministry
🤝 Foster unity, accountability and spiritual maturity in achieving the diocesan vision and strategic direction
A key reminder from the Series — Leadership in the Church is both spiritual and managerial. We are called not only to pray and preach, but to plan, organize, guide and evaluate the work entrusted to us. The Church today needs leaders who are not passive, distracted or discouraged — but focused, resilient and forward-moving in God's calling!

This workshop is in direct preparation for the DLI Classes scheduled to commence on Saturday, 18th April 2026, at Archdeaconry Headquarters across the Diocese — where these trained facilitators will be deployed to equip leaders at the grassroots level.

True to our diocesan theme — "Press On Towards the Prize" (Philippians 3:14) — the Diocese of Kitale is not standing still. We are investing in our leaders, strengthening our structures, and pressing forward with clarity, teamwork, discipline and perseverance!

📰 DIOCESAN MEN'S CONFERENCE 2026 OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

The Annual Diocesan Men's Conference 2026 was on Wednesday morning, 15th April 2026 officially launched at Kitale School, marking the beginning of four days of spiritual enrichment and fellowship for Anglican men across the Diocese of Kitale.

The launch was presided over by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Chemengich, who was accompanied by Mama Dorcas and his Chaplain. Also present were the Diocesan Men's Ministry Coordinator, Rev. Apollo Osaha, the Kitale Urban Archdeacon, Ven. Shadrack Ndiwa, Archdeaconry Men Chaplains, and other clergy from across the diocese.

Delivering the launch sermon, Bishop Chemengich drew from Philippians 3:12ff, challenging the men with four habits necessary for pressing on in faith:
1. Discontentment — refusing to settle for spiritual mediocrity
2. Devotion — committing deliberately and consistently to God
3. Direction — aligning one's life purposefully with God's call
4. Determination — pressing on regardless of opposition or weariness

The conference, running from 14th to 17th April 2026, will feature teaching sessions, fellowship activities, and sporting events.

🌊✝️ ACK DIOCESE OF KITALE CLERGY & SPOUSE RETREAT | DAY 3 — CLOSING DAY

Pressing Together in Ministry — Mombasa, 9th April 2026

Day 3 marked the powerful climax of the Mombasa Retreat, as the gathering took a deeper spiritual and ministerial tone under the theme — "Clergy Code of Conduct"

📖 KEY TEACHING
Rt. Rev. Francis Matui
The Anglican clergy are distinct and set apart.
The teaching unpacked the Clergy Code of Conduct rooted in ordination vows — calling every minister to embody the heart of a shepherd; to care for and accommodate people; to be an agent of reconciliation; to faithfully practice the sacraments; to show up at people's deepest moments of need; to lead as servants with no room for competition; to keep learning and growing; to submit fully to Holy Scripture; and above all — to let their life and conduct be a living example to the flock.

"Let not position define you — your conduct must speak first."

👩‍👩‍👧 SPOUSES' FELLOWSHIP
Even as the clergy gathered for teaching, the clergy spouses held their own special fellowship — led by Mama Dorcas Chemengich and Mama Margaret Mboya. It was a dedicated space for the spouses to connect, encourage one another, and be strengthened for the unique and vital role they play in supporting ministry. A retreat that truly catered for the whole family! 🙏❤️

🙏 CLOSING PRAYER SESSION
The retreat concluded on a deeply reflective note as members wrote personal and family prayer requests and presented specific needs for their parish ministries. The session was led by the facilitator, Bishop Matui.

Pressing Together in Ministry — Mombasa, 8th April 2026

Day 2 was marked by rich and deeply practical teaching on one of the most vital foundations of life and ministry — Relationships!
Rt. Rev. Francis Matui led the team through four key dimensions of Healthy Relationships:
💍 Marriage — Built on unity, love and intentional commitment. True love is seen in daily actions, not words alone.
👨‍👩‍👧 Family & Children — A strong family requires time, presence and guidance.
⛪ Ministry — There is no bad parish — only relationships that need nurturing.
🪞 Self — Know yourself. Grow yourself. Desire to become better.
"Our way of life is more important than what we say."

The teaching further challenged clergy on balancing family and ministry — both begin with vows, both are instituted by God, and both demand intentional investment.
"What takes your attention takes your relationship."
The call was clear — build your family intentionally, before it's too late.
