*Marriage God's Way – Meeting Summary*
The meeting focused on building Christ-Centered marriages by living according to God's Word rather than the values of the world. Members were encouraged to pursue holiness, humility, and intentional spiritual growth, recognizing that healthy marriages are built through submission to God and mutual love between spouses.
Key Lessons
*1. Marriage according to God's design*
We are called not to conform to the world's ways.
God's will is for believers to live lives of gratitude, purity, holiness, and righteousness.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 reminds us to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.
*2. Submission and the work of the Holy Spirit*
Biblical submission becomes easier when believers allow the Holy Spirit to minister to them.
Submission is about God's order, authority, and love—not control or power.
Choosing peace should always be a priority in marriage.
*3. Practical ways to strengthen marriage*
Husbands and wives should communicate intentionally and make time for meaningful conversations.
Faithfulness goes beyond physical purity; it includes emotional and spiritual faithfulness.
Every couple should have mature Christian mentors or accountability partners to provide guidance and oversight.
Make it a habit to affirm, encourage, and appreciate your spouse.
*4. Walking in the Spirit*
Galatians 5 teaches believers to walk in the Spirit so they do not satisfy the desires of the flesh.
Pride and the ego must continually be surrendered to God through His Word.
Spiritual growth requires focus, discipline, and intentional fellowship with God's Word.
*5. Living a victorious Christian life*
Complete devotion and faithfulness to God should characterize every believer.
Avoid making pain an idol or allowing suffering to define your life; healing comes through Christ.
The Holy Spirit has no limit in helping and transforming believers.
God calls His people to enter His rest by trusting Him completely.
*6. DO NOT be unequally yoked*
There is a possibility of being unequally yoked even with a born-again spouse. If only one is intentional about growth and maturity the gap between the two can grow too big to allow for a peaceful existence. Both parties must agree to grow together and admonish each other n spiritual maturity to stay equally yoked.
*Action Points*
Spend daily time in God's Word and prayer.
Intentionally communicate with and encourage your spouse.
Walk in the Spirit and reject worldly patterns.
Develop accountability relationships with mature believers.
Practice gratitude, humility, holiness, and righteousness.
Remain focused on God's purpose for your marriage.
*Conclusion*
A godly marriage is built by intentionally following God's Word, depending on the Holy Spirit, maintaining healthy communication, practicing mutual submission, and continually growing in Christ. As couples walk in obedience to God, their marriages become stronger, healthier, and a testimony of His love.

Join us for a life transforming service as we continue with the series;Drawing from Christ.

John.4.10 - Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, "Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."
John.4.11 - The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?
John.4.12 - Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?"
John.4.13 - Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
John.4.14 - but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
John.4.15 - The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."

Mark 10:13-16 GW
[13] Some people brought little children to Jesus to have him hold them. But the disciples told the people not to do that.
[14] When Jesus saw this, he became irritated. He told them, “Don’t stop the children from coming to me. Children like these are part of God’s kingdom.
[15] I can guarantee this truth: Whoever doesn’t receive God’s kingdom as a little child receives it will never enter it.”
[16] Jesus put his arms around the children and blessed them by placing his hands on them.
