At our Sunday service yesterday, I spoke of "obedience to the word of God.

Jesus is the "word"
And the first step to "obedience to God" is to believe in His son Jesus Christ whom He sent (1John 3:23)

The other step which follow as far as obedience to God is concerned is to practice "the word"

The mother of Jesus demonstrated the fact that the word/s of Jesus are alive, powerful and working...and so he told those who were working at the wedding in Cana/Galleeli, that " whatever Jesus tells you to do, do it" ( John 2:5)

The written word of God becomes living word when it's put into practice...listen to what this woman said to Jesus and how Jesus answered her...
in Luke 11:27-28 [NIV]

[vs: 27] As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”

[vs: 28] He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

And this is true; obedience to the word is the one and only blessed way to see God's demonstration of the power of his word through actions/deeds.( HEBREWS 4:12)

James 1 [NIV]

[vs: 22] Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

It's a great blessing when we as believers practice the word of God!

On 14th to 16th of this month, we had a very successful conference and we witnessed a great move of God

Many were delivered, and as well many were baptised in the Holy Spirit!

We give all the glory to Jesus !

Jesus the good shepherd;

He left his glory and became below the poor on earth and he lifted us to the level of his glory.

He died the shameful death and he delivered us completely from the second death

Jesus partook of our sins so that we take of his righteousness.
He became sin and we became God's righteousness through his grace by faith.

He became the representation of man in heaven and we became God's representation on earth...meaning, he is man in heaven and we are made gods on earth.

JESUS IS GOOD!

Have you ever known how much God dearly loves you?

Please Read this with me....

JOHN 16:27

27 for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God.

wow.. If one can settle in the unfailing love of God, then he or she can not live in fear of Judgement.

Believers fear because they aren't aware of how much God dearly loves them.

1JOHN 4:17,18
says....
17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love....

And finally look at this other scripture concerning this...

Ephesians 3:16,17,18,19

and...it says

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Read the word
Study the word
Meditate on the word
Visualize the word
Speak the word

2.Prayer
Pray always
Pray in the spirit
Pray in faith
Pray with all kinds of prayer.
