Our hearts remain heavy as we continue to mourn with the Utumishi Girls School family and the nation following the tragic fire outbreak that claimed young lives and left many others injured.

As the West Kenya Union Conference family, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, students, teachers, and the entire school community.

In moments like these, words may seem inadequate, but we hold on to God's promise of comfort, healing, and hope.

Equity Bank, through its Kisumu Branch, partnered with the West Kenya Union Conference (WKUC) in a tree planting exercise aimed at promoting environmental conservation. The bank donated 3,000 tree seedlings, with the exercise officially commissioned by WKUC President, Pr. Samuel Misiani.

Equity Bank was represented by Tobias Ajwang, Payment Supervisor/ Tree Planting Coordinator- Kisumu branch. The initiative saw full participation from WKUC staff, who actively took part in planting the trees.

Your desires may be loud. Temptation may feel strong. But God’s grace is stronger. 🙏

In a powerful message, Dr. David Odhiambo reminds us that victory is not found in human strength, but in the transforming grace of God. No struggle is too deep, no weakness too great for His power to overcome.

Grace does not excuse us to stay the same — it empowers us to rise, surrender, and walk daily with Christ.

We celebrate and appreciate Pr. John Tuwei for the successful organization of the beautiful Pastors’ Convention held at University of Eastern Africa, Baraton.

From the powerful messages to the spirit of fellowship, learning, renewal, and worship, this convention became a blessing to many pastors and ministry leaders across the field. Your dedication, vision, and commitment to strengthening the shepherds of God’s flock did not go unnoticed.

The climax of the Pastors’ Convention held at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton on May 16, 2026, was marked by a special Pastors’ Performance Award ceremony honoring commitment, dedication, and excellence in ministry.

Awards were presented in categories including income growth, membership growth, volume of cash returns, and digital space engagement. A major highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of Pastor Curfs Leon of Chelingwa District in the Greater Rift Valley Conference as Pastor of the Year.

Over 90 pastors were recognized and appreciated for their commitment and dedication to God’s work. The awards served as an encouragement for pastors across the field to continue striving for excellence in ministry and mission.
