1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Most times we tend to rely so much on people. We develop great hope in them and trust them because we believe there are certain things only they can do to us. What if one day they are not there for us? What if they disappoint us? What if they cannot offer you a helping hand anymore? On such occasions, we get disappointed even in ourselves and blame ourselves.
John 18:17-Then the servant girl who kept by the door said to Peter” You are not one of this man’s disciples, are you?”Peter responded ‘I am not”.
At times people we rely on may abandon us and disappoint us. Rely on no man but God only.

Never allow the storm to shatter your faith and pull you away from God. Even though it may feel like you are all alone in this place, as believers in Christ Jesus we don't walk by feelings but by "Faith." In the storm, at the darkest moment of your life when you are hanging on by a thread, He has already worked out the provision you’ll need to get you through (Psalm 37:5). Sometimes we have to go through the storm so that it strips away everything that we are relying on, everything that is causing a distraction or even idolizing so that we can meet Him in our secret place and have a one on one experience of who He is.

Why put each other down when it’s so much easier to lift each other up! God made us all uniquely different with all different kinds of talents. So, the greatness that’s in you was given by God, and the blessings that God has for you no one can ever take them away. So why not support and encourage each other? If you are jealous or envious of someone because they are doing things that you are not doing, then you really should sit back and reevaluate yourself. 1 John 4:20 says: If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

There is always something that gets me running back to the foot of the Cross. Surrendering is not a "one shot" deal, we surrender right up until our very last breath.
To surrender is not the same as compliance, it has everything to do with denying yourself (Luke 9:23-24), taking up your Cross daily and surrendering to His will.

Is it difficult to just wait on the Lord? Better things come to those who wait, so the least you could do is stop complaining about the wait and continue praying, continue seeking and stop trying to take a short cut during your season of waiting. When you try to rush what the Lord patiently wants to do in your life, you are telling Him that you are impatient and your timing is better than His. It's in your waiting period that you can experience the Lord in a new way, He will lift you up - suddenly and unexpectedly...

Sometimes we rejoice when our enemies fall or are passing through hardships. We tend to at happy about that and some go an extra mile to pray that they remain in that bad condition for good. The bible urges us not to have joy when who we hate fall for the lord will raise them again. Pray for them to overcome the bad conditions and that is what we call Love among us followers of Christ. The lord protects everybody even the worst sin and why can’t we consider the hatred we have and change it to love…I guess it will be what we call great LOVE.

An important insight into the book of James is that it gives a revelation of what we need to do so that God does it for us. James urges that if we move closer to God, he shall draw near to us. Another confidence we have is to resist the devil and he shall flee from us. This only comes into existence when we fully submit ourselves to God fully.

Humility is an important aspect in a Christian life. Too much arrogance and pride doesn’t take us anywhere in fact it does drift us away from God. The bible urges us to humble ourselves before the Lord and He shall lift us up. The only way to be lifted up is through humility and even after being being lifted up, humility still should keep us up there. There is no need for chest thumbing and pride .Remember pride comes before a fall and the bible speaks about people like Nebuchadnezzar and their pride. Take care so that you don’t fall into the pit of pride.
