In this new age, AI adoption is prevalent across the Military Industrial Complex, Governance, and Public Sector Administration in the Global North.

The African AI Governance Forum (AAIGF) is founded on the principle of Sovereignty, aiming to unite experts—AI developers, researchers, engineers, regulators, technocrats, bureaucrats, policy professionals, and relevant stakeholders—to ignite the next chapter of conversation on establishing sovereign full-stack AI infrastructure. This infrastructure will be developed from the ground up, incorporating local datasets and languages.

The goal is to foster African Digital Sovereignty, where local datasets are used to train models that can serve the African market rather than outsourcing it for free and keeping it away in data centres abroad at the hands of foreign companies that do not serve our interests but, on the contrary, profit from it on our behalf.

We welcome all who are open to achieving this significant milestone and resonate with the goal of this initiative. Thank you.
