*Know and occupy your position.*
*Psalm 82:5-7*
"They know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. 'I said, "You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High." But you will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler'”.
God redeemed us to demonstrate His strength and power. He did not intend that we become weak, but we be divinely empowered as we subject everything to His power and dominion. However, lack of understanding and ignorance of His ways makes people walk in defeat and despair. The Psalmist emphasizes the fact that God has given us the right to partake in the divine nature. In this exalted position, we have authority to exercise power over nature and the supernatural by commanding signs, miracles, and wonders. The same way our Saviour manifested God’s power, we are mandated to reveal the hidden mysteries of the supernatural to our generation.
The Psalmist regrettably points out that due to lack of knowledge and understanding, individuals who were meant to have dominion can be reduced to ordinary people—weak and ineffective vessels. Due to the darkness that hovers over them, they fail to realize that they are gods (having the nature of God in them). This causes them to die like mere men. To avoid this, we must make every effort to grow in the knowledge of God so that His power manifests in us. Knowing God intimately positions us for divine empowerment to do exploits (Daniel 11:32b).
Pray that God will help you to know and occupy the position He has given you.
