Happy Sabbath

Strong And Courageous

TODAY’S VERSE
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
With God I can be strong and courageous
Today, quiet your heart and meditate on God’s presence and His abiding love for you. Focus on His magnificent power. See God’s purpose to love and protect you. As you begin to perceive His presence, power and purpose feel a strength and courage begin to well up inside you. Say with wonder on your breath, “He will never leave me or forsake me, I can be strong and courageous.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I wander through most days with so much apathy. I live as if you don’t exist. I haven’t taken your promises seriously. Most the time I am not strong or courageous. Forgive me for this. Instead, help me today really grasp what it means that you will never leave me or forsake me. In Jesus Name.
AMEN

New Year is not about changing the Dates but Direction; It's not about changing the Calendar but Commitment; It's not about changing the Actions but Attitude, it isn't about service to the Lord Almighty but Commitment to Him in the Service we offer. Its not about what you have done for the Lord, but what you have put in your heart to do. The Lord promises to stand up for you and your family coz He promised. Your needs are already before His presence. Enjoy new year my brethrens

Genuine repentance goes hand in hand with turning away from what displeases God and turning to Him .Repentance is more than saying the right words in prayer,it is living those words in our lives. If we are going to see revival in our churches and countries,we must turn away from sin and turn to the Lord.

Today's scripture.
Ecclesiastes 7:14.
Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life.

Reflection.
God allows both good times and bad times to come to everyone. He blends them in our lives in such a way that we can't predict the future or count on human wisdom and power.
We usually give ourselves the credit for the good times. Then in bad times, we we tend to blame God without thanking Him for the good that comes out of it.
When life appears certain and controllable, don't let self- satisfaction or complacency make you too comfortable, or God may allow bad times to drive you back to Him.
When life seems uncertain and uncontrollable, don't despair- God is in control and will bring good results out of your struggles.

Prayer.

Mighty and eternal Father, we come before your throne of mercy in humility and reverence to thank you for your love and grace that is sufficient for each one of us.
Thank you for your protection over us daily.
Help us Lord to thank you in all circumstances that we go through.
Strengthen us Lord, to put our trust in you and do things according to your will.
When things are good for us, help us to appreciate you, and in times of trouble Lord, may we seek you.
Take charge of our lives and make us to surrender to your will.
Meet us Lord, at our very points of need, and guide us according to your divine plans for us.
May honor and glory be given back to you forever in Jesus' Holy Name I pray. Amen.
Have a great and blessed day.

Today : I Want To See

TODAY’S VERSE
“As the man came near, Jesus asked him, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘I want to see!’ And Jesus said, ‘All right, receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.’ Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus, praising God. And all who saw it praised God, too.” Luke 18:40-43 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What a gift. I love the fact that Jesus said, “What do you want me to do?” Knowing the power of the person asking, the man asked for the extreme gift, “I want to see!” What a request. What an answer. Jesus said, “Alright, receive your sight, your faith has healed you.” Jesus has the power to answer our prayers. I thought of those of us who are not blind. Our eyes work, but what do we see? How many of us suffer from emotional or spiritual blindness? What do we see? Do we see opportunities? Do we see God’s gracious hand in our affairs? Do we see a world with joy, kindness and love? Or is our vision skewed? We need our blindness healed. We need corrected vision. Where we see doubt, we need to see assurance. Where we see sadness, we need to see joy. Where we see fear, we need to see peace and courage. Where we see hate, we need to see love. Where we see shame, we need to see beauty and purpose. Where we see the darkness of despair, we need to see the light of hope. Today, Jesus is here. He is asking, “What do you want me to do for you?” Tell Him, “Lord, I want to see!”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Lord, I walk around so blind to the spiritual reality you have for me. I need corrected vision. Holy Spirit, renew my spiritual sight that I may see the truth You have for me. Help me to see hope, joy, peace and love. In Jesus' name.
AMEN

The Long Way

God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. Exodus 13:17

When God led the Israelites out of Egypt (Exodus 13:17–18), He chose a longer way because the “shortcut” to Canaan was fraught with risk. The longer journey, note Bible commentators, also gave them more time to strengthen themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually for subsequent battles.
The shortest way isn’t always the best. Sometimes God lets us take the longer route in life, whether it’s in our career or other endeavors, so that we’ll be better prepared for the journey ahead. When things don’t seem to happen quickly enough, we can trust in God—the One who leads and guides us.
How might God be strengthening you by letting you take the “longer way” in life? How can you remind yourself to keep trusting Him?

Loving God, You know how I feel when things don’t seem to happen quickly enough. Grant me the patience to trust in You and in Your sovereign plan and purpose. In Jesus' name. Amen

WELCOME TO OUR DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

TOPIC: THE RIGHT WAY TO FOLLOW

The Bible. John 10:10
[10]The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

APPLICATION/LESSON
- From the above scripture we now know why JESUS came and why the devil came.
- Now whose way have you chosen, the Way of Jesus or Satan.
- I know many of us will say that we have chosen the way of JESUS.
- IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHOSE PATH YOU HAVE TAKEN, THEN CHECK YOUR ACTIONS AND THE RESULTS OF YOUR ACTIONS, IF AT ALL THEY WILL BRING LIFE IN ABUNDANCE OR THEY ARE LEADING TO DESTRUCTION AND DEATH. GALATIANS 5:19

CHOOSE THE WAY OF JESUS, THE WAY FULL OF LIFE IN ABUNDANCE

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Lord, I have discovered that my actions will lead me to the way of destruction.
Now I have made a U-Turn to follow the way of life, The Way of Jesus. Amen

Have a blessed Friday.

WELCOME TO OUR DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

TOPIC: RUN YOUR RACE

The Bible. Ecclesiastes 9:10-11
[10]Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol (the place of the dead), where you are going.
[11]I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong, neither is bread to the wise nor riches to men of intelligence and understanding nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.

APPLICATION/LESSON
- If we cannot be trusted with little, then in vain do we fight to get more.
- Whatever God has given you now, ensure you do it properly, then God will take you up.
- We should work hard first and be patient, then money and wealth will follow our good work, but to many of us, we need money and wealth before work.
- If you don't want your performance to take you up, then you will be forced to corrupt your ways to reach up, but the only funny thing with going up a lone is that, God will not go with you.
- In the race of life, everyone has a destiny. Pray and work hard to achieve the best but never live anyone's life.
- Did you know what tortures people most? They want to rise quickly and be above others, but we should know the following:
1. Some people you are competing with took their parent's inheritance to be where they are.
2. Some people have corrupted their ways to be where they are.
3. Some people come from rich backgrounds where vehicles are like bicycles while to some of us, our parents could not even afford a bicycle.
-So if you take loans in order match such people, you are quickly inviting stress.
- Some started from 60% while you started from 1%. Did you know that when you reach 60% you shall have added 59% while those who started at 60% shall have added only 40% in order to reach the maximum 100%.
- Be contented with what God has given now because He knows the appropriate time to take you up. The race is not for the Swift, God's timing is the best.

TIME AND CHANCE HAPPEN TO ALL, JUST RUN YOUR RACE ACCORDING TO GOD'S PURPOSE AND NOT MAN'S WILL AND YOU WILL BE AT PEACE AT YOUR GOD GIVEN LEVEL

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I have suffered so much because I wanted to be the same as others not knowing how they reached there.

Today I have chosen to run my race in order to be at peace so that I don't commit evil in an attempt to go up.

I know you will lift me up in due time to my God set level. Amen

Have a blessed Thursday
