OBJECTIVES. The objectives of the Organization are:
a) To preach and teach the other faiths as commissioned
b) To organize conferences, Seminars and Workshops to further the Gospel. c) To train Pastors from Unitarian and other
faiths. d) To work with other like minded organizations for the common good of Mankind. e) To fight illiteracy by establishing educational institutions. f) To empower young people by establishing vocational training institutions that will offer skill training e.g. carpentry, Tailoring and Metalwork for poverty alleviation
g) To empower women by establishing small scale businesses through micro- financing. h) To establish medical institutions to fight diseases in informal settlements. i) To enhance parental and care givers responsibilities towards their children through children rights and advocacy and awareness. j) To provide support to the needy children in the informal settlement e.g. feeding, clothes, learning materials and shelter. NATURE OF ACTIVITIES
UCEC carries out the following activities as for now;
a) Church Activities are ongoing. b) Runs schools offering Non-formal Education. c) Rehabilitation of school dropouts. d) Bead work is ongoing
e) Brick making is on going. f) Caring for orphans and vulnerable children by providing clothing, food, shelter, guidance, and counseling. IMMEDIATE PLAN
In the near future, we intend to:
a) Construction of Head office and church sanctuary. b) Well construction. c) Pastors’ Training. d) Provide a feeding program for the underprivileged children. e) Construction of a health center to provide health care for people in the community. f) First aid and HIV/AIDS program to improve the condition of the victims. g) Organize and implement seminars/ workshops for childcare givers and other stakeholders. h) Engage in tailoring, dress making, weaving, Computer and embroidery for income generation. TARGET GROUPS
The Organization targets mainly:
a) All people
b) Orphans and Vulnerable Children. c) School drop-outs
d) Women
SOURCES OF FUNDS
The organization does not have a reliable source of funds currently, but intends to get some funding from donors, well-wishers, Volunteers, Government, and other sources. CHALLENGES
The organization faces the following challenges:
a) Inadequate funds to fund the construction of the church, head office and church activities. b) Lack of drug for HIV/AIDS victims and Transport for caregivers. c) Inadequate Learning materials in Schools. d) Inadequate infrastructure
e) Lack of modern learning facilities
f) Inadequate furniture
g) Inadequate funds to acquire clothing, food, medicine and pay the employees who work as volunteers resulting to inefficient service delivery. h) Lack of skilled personnel
