The favour of God can't be bought, traded or manipulated coz people still go to church with their hearts totally distinct from the Lord.If they think they can put on their Sunday/Saturday best & throw a super spiritual smile on their face & impress God, God is looking for people who seek Him with the whole heart.So with it all 'comes down to this..We either seek Him or we don't and God surely knows the differance between the two.
