* Wrong Investment*
I was privileged to accompany a group of 20 young guys aged between 20 - 25 years on a mission trip. I was amazed by their commitment, zeal and hunger to serve God. Waking up at 6 AM everyday to pray for the mission and sleeping at 11PM giving a report of their day's mission work. Just within one hour these young people had learnt close to 7 phrases to great and introduce themselves to this foreign land. A land so new to them yet we travelled to the mountains four hours with no one complaining if food or water. Today I visited their Sunday service and wooow. The church I has invested hours of weekly mentorship and bible reading and materials of biblical study. My country Kenya we have cathedrals being built. Heavy fundraising being put up. Instruments of millions being bought. However when a lorry of cooking oil gets an accident you can't tell a church elder and a thief. You can't tell the assistant pastor and a smuggler. Where are we investing as the Kenyan church. Is it in Beauty of the outside but rotten souls that will again one day start fighting over church leadership.
