The Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa for the Russian Orthodox Church is laying a strong foundation to the Orthodox Church of the future in Africa.
The professionalism involved is an indication of the growth in Orthodoxy expected in the New future here in Africa. Laying the foundation afresh is the key to shutting the shantis and building it permanent.

Remember the personal relationship you would like to cultivate is up to us, how we use our freewill to have our very own individual relationship with our Beloved Jesus Christ. God is truly everywhere the key is it must be willed by us first.

Nobody can take this away from you, nothing nor nobody can take nor give what our Beloved Christ gives to us here on this earth by following Christ’s teachings by upholding our one true stand alone Faith unchained, unchanged and our one Holy Tradition of our Mother Church.

All begins from the heart and shall end there. The Spirit of our souls. God’s True Wisdom of Works and True Word already given by The only Begotten Son of God from The Father.

For God truly is a Mystery.

Hence Repent, The Kingdom of God is at Hand. Αμήν

Teaching about Giving to the Needy

1“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.
2When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
3But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Teaching about Prayer and Fasting
5“When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.
6But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

7“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.

Once Anthony the Great "tied" the devil and asked him:
- What are you most afraid of?
- Humility!
- What else are you afraid of besides humility?
- Humility!
- Is there anything else you're afraid of?
- Humility!
And when Anthony the Great soul left His body, his Holy soul was in the arms of the angels and ascended to heaven, Satan seeing him from afar, called him out:
- Oh, Anthony, you escaped me!
- Not yet! Anthony the Great tells him.
Do you hear such humility In the hands of the angel the soul of Anthony the Great, he has left the body and has no room to sin, but he did not let it enter his mind, that yes I escaped you, I defeated you! He didn't say that!Because only humility defeats satan...
And when Anthony the Great stepped into Heaven, he said:
- Now, by the Grace of God I have defeated you!
This is what we should say and do. Man, never let it slip in your mind that you are something and that you do something. You are lost .... But always be humble and believe, that if you did something, you did it by God's Grace and because God wanted it to..

Dimitrios Panagopoulos Preacher

Κάποτε ο Μέγας Αντώνιος «έδεσε» τον διάβολο και τον ρώτησε:
- Τι φοβάσαι περισσότερο;
- Η ταπείνωση!
- Τι άλλο φοβάσαι πέρα από την ταπείνωση;
- Η ταπείνωση!
- Δεν φοβάσαι κάτι άλλο;

☦️ James 2:14-26 (Epistle)

14
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
15
If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
16
and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?
17
❤️Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18
❤️But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
19
❤️You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe – and tremble!
20
But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
21
❤️Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
22
❤️Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
23
❤️And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.
24
❤️You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25
❤️Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26
❤️For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Biblical Women: Rahab
Rahab has the distinction of being one of the few Biblical figures who was the object of an attempted moral make-over—or, more bluntly, of a well-intentioned white-wash. In Hebrews 11:31 and James 2:25 she is referred to as “Rahab the porne”—in quaint English, “Rahab the harlot”, in more common English “Rahab the prostitute”—and this has not sat well with some expositors.

The Angel Gabriel Comes to Mary

26 Six months after Elizabeth had become pregnant, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a city in Galilee. 27 The angel went to a virgin promised in marriage to a descendant of David named Joseph. The virgin’s name was Mary.

28 When the angel entered her home, he greeted her and said, “You are favored by the Lord! The Lord is with you.”

29 She was startled by what the angel said and tried to figure out what this greeting meant.

30 The angel told her,

“Don’t be afraid, Mary. You have found favor with God.
31 You will become pregnant, give birth to a son,
and name him Jesus.
32 He will be a great man
and will be called the Son of the Most High.
The Lord God will give him
the throne of his ancestor David.
33 Your son will be king of Jacob’s people forever,
and his kingdom will never end.”
34 Mary asked the angel, “How can this be? I’m a virgin.”

35 The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come to you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy child developing inside you will be called the Son of God.

36 “Elizabeth, your relative, is six months pregnant with a son in her old age. People said she couldn’t have a child. 37 But nothing is impossible for God.”

38 Mary answered, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let everything you’ve said happen to me.”

Then the angel left her.

Our Lord Jesus Christ will forever be grateful beyond any words I could ever try to attempt to explain.

For this reason, when we truly pray to our Helper to our Protectress to our Mother of God to help us, to guide us, to heal us from any struggles, trials and tribulations we are facing, to be a true servant to Her Son, she listens and she prays.

On Pride and Humility,

What, then, is the cause and what’s the cure for this arrogant and disdainful behaviour? Listen to what the Lord says: ‘Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls’ [Matth. 11, 29].

Briefly, in a single sentence, He’s shown us the root cause of all evils; and their antidote, the cause of all blessings.

Our Beloved Christ shown us that pride has overcome us and that we can’t be free of it except through its opposite, which is humility.

This is because pride begets arrogant and disdainful behaviours and catastrophic disobedience, precisely as humility begets obedience and the salvation of our soul.

The real humility, not merely an expression or an outward show but the actual humble disposition which is cultivated in our heart and in our outlook.

This is what Christ means when He says: ‘I am gentle and humble in heart’.

Those who want their soul to find true rest should learn humility and they’ll see that therein lies all joy, all glory and all respite, just as the opposites are to be found in pride.

How did we come to all these sorrows? Why did we fall into such wretchedness? Was it not through our pride? Was it not through our own irrationality? Was it not because we accommodated our wicked intentions. Was it not because we wanted to impose our own petty will? But why?

Were Adam and Eve not created in the midst of every comfort, every joy, every solace and every glory? Weren’t they in Paradise? God told them: ‘Don’t do this’, and they did it anyway. Do you see the pride? Do you see the stubbornness? Do you see the disobedience?

When God saw this shameless lack of respect, He said: ‘They’re foolish. They don’t appreciate what they have. Unless they suffer, they’re going straight to perdition, eternal punishment.

Unless they learn what sorrow is, they’ll never learn what respite is, either’. Then He gave them what they deserved and cast them out of Paradise.

☦️ John 20:19-31 (9th Matins Gospel)

19
Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them,
❤️“Peace be with you.”
20
When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
21
❤️So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
22
❤️And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
23
❤️If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
24
Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
25
The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26
And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
❤️“Peace to you!”
27
Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28
And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29
Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
30
And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book;
31
❤️but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

The true Peace shall be given to the true believers who shall not deny our Lord Jesus Christ our Godhead of Church.

The Lord said, "Do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"

Honouring the friends of God with much reverence, the Prophet-King David says, "But to me, exceedingly honourable are Thy friends, O Lord" (Ps. 138:16). And the divine Apostle, recounting the achievements of the Saints, and setting forth their memorial as an example that we might turn away from earthly things and from sin, and emulate their patience and courage in the struggles for virtue, says, "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every burden, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us" (Heb. 12:1).

This commemoration began as the Sunday (Synaxis) of All Martyrs; to them were added all the ranks of Saints who bore witness (the meaning of "Martyr" in Greek) to Christ in manifold ways, even if occasion did not require the shedding of their blood.

Therefore, guided by the teaching of the Divine Scriptures and Apostolic Tradition, we the pious honour all the Saints, the friends of God, for they are keepers of God's commandments, shining examples of virtue, and benefactors of mankind. Of course, we honour the known Saints especially on their own day of the year, as is evident in the Menologion. But since many Saints are unknown, and their number has increased with time, and will continue to increase until the end of time, the Church has appointed that once a year a common commemoration be made of all the Saints. This is the feast that we celebrate today. It is the harvest of the coming of the Holy Spirit into the world; it is the "much fruit" brought forth by that "Grain of wheat that fell into the earth and died" (John 12:24); it is the glorification of the Saints as "the foundation of the Church, the perfection of the Gospel, they who fulfilled in deed the sayings of the Saviour" (Sunday of All Saints, Doxasticon of Vespers).
