Colossians 2:6-10

I needed to use the toilet but I met it locked with a padlock.

You know how it could be when you're so pressed yet you couldn't ease yourself.

I'm sure some of you understand this better.

There was water right at the entrance of the toilet but it was totally useless since I couldn't access the main place.

While I was there wondering what miracle would help me unlock the door since I didn't have the key, someone who saw me and probably guessed what my predicament was asked, "What's wrong?"

"The toilet is locked and I'm pressed".

He looked at me and smiled.

Have you ever spoken to someone before and the person begins to laugh at something really bothering you?

That thing can be annoying.

Before I unleash my anger against that sarcastic laughter, I took a breath and hear him out.

"The door is not locked", he said as he smiled.

"Just pull the padlock and it will open by itself", he confessed.

Can you imagine?

I went straight to the same padlock that has threatened me before, pulled it and flung it open.

Wow! It was that easy.

Here is the lesson.

What if what you're afraid of is really nothing to be scared of?

What if the object of your fear is just an image that never really existed?

What if the door you thought was closed was never closed?

This is how the devil has limited many people with an illusionary idea.

Don't be afraid; start.

Chase that dream.

Some of you are afraid of failure.

So what if you fail?

You're not the first to fail. At least, you made a move.

The best way to fight your fear is to confront it.

In the bible, the lepers thought of the worse that could happen.

If they stayed in the city, they'd die of hunger. If they moved to the camp of the Syrian, they'd probably be killed too .

They decided to confront their fear.

They went straight to the Syrian camp, they found out that the soldiers had fled and there was food in surplus.

That was how lepers brought out the entire city out of famine.
