Sermon: Hope for the Oppressed
Main Scripture: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
Introduction
Many people today are carrying heavy burdens. Some are oppressed by poverty, sickness, family problems, rejection, disappointment, or spiritual battles. Others have lost hope because their prayers seem unanswered. Yet God has a message for His people: Do not give up, for He is with you.
1. God Sees Your Pain
When the Israelites were suffering in Egypt, God said:
"I have indeed seen the misery of my people... I have heard them crying out." — Exodus 3:7
God sees every tear, every struggle, and every sleepless night. You may feel forgotten by people, but you are never forgotten by God.
2. Hope Comes from the Lord
The enemy wants people to believe that their situation will never change. But God's Word says:
"Why, my soul, are you downcast? Put your hope in God." — Psalm 42:11
Our hope is not based on circumstances; it is based on God's faithfulness. The same God who opened the Red Sea, healed the sick, and raised the dead is still working today.
3. Jesus Came for the Oppressed
Jesus declared:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me... He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free." — Luke 4:18
Jesus understands suffering because He suffered for us. He invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him and find rest.
4. Your Season Will Change
No trial lasts forever. David said:
"Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." — Psalm 30:5
The night may seem long, but God's morning is coming. Hold on to His promises and continue trusting Him.
Conclusion
If you feel oppressed, discouraged, or hopeless, remember:
God sees your pain.
God hears your prayers.
Jesus came to set you free.
Your season will change.
Keep praying, keep believing, and keep walking with God. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up every follower of Joel Neti Ministries on Facebook into Your loving hands. Thank You for bringing us together through this platform to share Your Word, encouragement, and hope.
Lord, bless each person and family connected to this ministry. May Your peace fill their hearts, Your wisdom guide their decisions, and Your grace sustain them through every season of life. Strengthen those who are weary, heal those who are sick, comfort those who are discouraged, and provide for those who are in need.
Father, help every follower to grow in faith, love, and obedience to Your Word. Let them be lights in their homes, workplaces, churches, and communities. Fill them with the power of the Holy Spirit so that they may boldly share the Gospel and bring glory to Your name.
Protect them from harm, temptation, and every plan of the enemy. Surround them with Your favor and open doors of blessing, opportunity, and spiritual growth. Unite us as one family in Christ, walking in love, humility, and purpose.
May Joel Neti Ministries continue to be a channel of blessing, encouragement, and transformation to many lives around the world. Let every message, prayer, and teaching bear fruit for Your Kingdom.
We declare that Your goodness and mercy shall follow all the followers of this ministry all the days of their lives.
