Theme: Receiving Divine Instructions
Scriptures: John 2:8–10; Joshua 1:8
- God gives specific instructions and divine counsel to guide our lives, shape our choices, and lead us into His purpose.
- Divine instructions are not given to everyone in the same way. They are entrusted to those who are willing to listen and obey.
- Our responsibility is to pay attention to the instructions God gives us, even when they may not immediately make sense.
- When we observe His instructions, God makes our way prosperous and grants us good success.
Three Things Required to Receive Divine Instructions
1. A Humble Heart
We must approach God with humility, recognising that His wisdom is greater than ours and that we need His direction.
1. Quiet Listening
God often speaks in the quietness of our hearts. We need to wait, listen, and discern His voice. We must learn to be still enough to hear what He is saying.
1. A Daily Choice to Follow His Leading
Hearing God’s instruction is not enough. We must choose, every day, to follow His leading and put His Word into practice.
As we receive and obey divine instructions, God directs our steps, protects us from wrong paths, and leads us toward a fruitful and purposeful life.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night… For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” — Joshua 1:8
Proverbs 8:10; Proverbs 16:20–25
May we have humble hearts, attentive ears, and obedient lives, ready to receive and follow God’s divine instructions.
