*THE SECRET PROCESS OF PRIVATE GROWTH BEFORE PUBLIC MANIFESTATION*
One of the greatest lessons in Scripture is this:
God often develops things in private before He reveals them in public.
The prophet Isaiah declared:
"The surviving remnant of the house of Judah will again take root downward and bear fruit upward."
β 2 Kings 19:30; Isaiah 37:31
This is God's pattern:
Deep roots always come before lasting fruit.
We live in a generation that celebrates visible success.
People want:
Immediate results.
Immediate promotion.
Immediate recognition.
Immediate blessings.
But God is a God of process.
π Before there is fruit, there are roots.
Paul wrote:
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."
β Colossians 2:6β7
πΎ Before there is a harvest, there is planting.
"Those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy."
β Psalm 126:5
π Before there is public glory, there is private growth.
π Before there are champions, there are countless hours of painful training.
Let us look at some of the things that grow in secret before they appear in public.
1οΈβ£ Faith Grows in Secret
Faith is not built on mountaintops.
It is built in hidden battles.
In unanswered prayers.
In seasons of waiting.
In difficult circumstances.
"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
β Romans 10:17
The strongest faith is often developed where no one is watching.
π Prayer: Lord, increase my faith.
2οΈβ£ Character Grows in Secret
David's character was formed while tending sheep.
Joseph's character was refined through slavery and prison.
Before God promotes people publicly, He develops them privately.
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much."
β Luke 16:10
π Prayer: Lord, mold my character to reflect the image of Christ.
3οΈβ£ Wisdom Grows in Secret
Wisdom is not acquired overnight.
It grows through experience.
Through mistakes.
Through correction.
Through walking with God.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."
β Proverbs 9:10
π Prayer: Lord, fill me with Your wisdom.
4οΈβ£ Prayer Life Grows in Secret
Nobody sees the hours spent in prayer.
Nobody sees the tears.
Nobody sees the spiritual wrestling.
Yet powerful public ministries are built upon hidden prayer lives.
"Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
β Matthew 6:6
π Prayer: Lord, teach me to pray without ceasing.
5οΈβ£ Calling Grows in Secret
Moses spent forty years in Midian.
David spent years in obscurity.
Jesus spent thirty years preparing for three years of public ministry.
Purpose matures in private before it is revealed in public.
π Prayer: Lord, help me live a purpose-driven life.
6οΈβ£ Spiritual Maturity Grows in Secret
Maturity is not measured by noise.
It is measured by growth.
Growth happens quietlyβ
Like a seed.
Like a tree.
Like roots beneath the ground.
π Prayer: Lord, help me become mighty in spirit.
7οΈβ£ Favor Grows in Secret
People often see the promotion.
They rarely see the preparation.
They celebrate the victory.
They overlook the process.
God's favor often develops quietly before it becomes visible.
π Prayer: Lord, grant me favor with You and with people.
8οΈβ£ Dreams Grow in Secret
Joseph carried his dream long before he lived it.
Years passed.
Trials came.
Yet God's promise continued growing beneath the surface.
π Prayer: Lord, bring my God-given dreams to fulfillment in Your perfect time.
9οΈβ£ Strength Grows in Secret
No one develops strength without resistance.
Muscles grow under pressure.
Faith grows under pressure.
Character grows under pressure.
Strength is born in hidden struggles.
π Prayer: Lord, strengthen me in every area of my life.
π Destiny Grows in Secret
Seeds remain underground before breaking through the soil.
Likewise, destinies often remain hidden before they become visible.
What appears sudden to people is usually the result of years of unseen preparation.
π Prayer: Lord, help me bring forth everything You have planted within me.
LESSONS TO REMEMBER
βοΈ Do not despise hidden seasons.
βοΈ Do not despise waiting seasons.
βοΈ Do not despise preparation seasons.
βοΈ The seed underground is not dead.
It is growing.
FINAL THOUGHT
If God has hidden you for a season, it is not punishment.
It is preparation.
The roots must grow deep before the tree can stand tall.
"He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season."
β Psalm 1:3
PUNCHLINE
Before David became the great king, he was a shepherd boy.
Before Joseph became the ruler of Egypt, he was a servant and a prisoner.
Before Moses became Israel's deliverer, he was a shepherd in the wilderness.
What God intends to display publicly, He first develops privately.
"Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase."
β Job 8:7
May God give you grace to embrace the hidden seasons, trust His process, and patiently wait for His perfect timing. The roots you are growing today will become the fruit that many will celebrate tomorrow.
β Apostle Samuel Sitako
