*DEALING WITH THE BARRIERS OF PROSPERITY IN THE FAMILIES*
*INTRODUCTION*
Family in the plan of God was established as an haven of peace a little a heaven on earth. Prosperity of the family is in the heart of God. It is the will of God for the family to be an epitome of blessings. One of the common areas of warfare in the family therefore becomes financial wellbeing. The enemy is never and will never be happy when the family is stable. When finances of the family are under attack the family loses its purposes; the life of struggle interferes with the purposes of God in the family.
The ministry of Nehemiah was built on the foundation of strong and stable families. He was cautious enough to keep his team on toes as regards the stability of every family. Financial stability of the family is the financial ability of the church Nehemiah 4:14- NIV After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes." This night we are launching a warfare to pray for stability of our families in matters finances; we want deal with three common attacks of our prosperity in the family
*Prayer Focus #1*
*1. Destroy the evil systems and ancient traditions*
• *Fight the spirit of Peninah:* Peninah is a system causes bitterness and causes delay in families. For sometimes Anna was frustrated until she rose to fight for her space. Samuel was born. Let us rise against evil systems and establishments. The spirit of Lot is and establishment that must be destroyed if the family is going to live to fulfill her purpose. Lets deal with any spirit that releases chaos and disorder in the family
• *Ezra brought the attention of the families; to the ancient records that hindered their progress.* The records in the spiritual archives indicated that fathers were rebellious and this closed doors of breakthrough in the life of the children of God.
Destruction came Ezra 4:15 NIV so that a search may be made in the archives of your predecessors. In these records you will find that this city is a rebellious city, troublesome to kings and provinces, a place with a long history of sedition. That is why this city was destroyed.
• *David fought for His family;* he rose against the ancient doors and gates; Those gates had dissenting voices. Psalm 24:7-10 _Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah._ doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
*Prayer Focus #2*
*Destroying chronic sickness and diseases in the family*
Sickness is a signpost of poverty in the family. There is nothing common in what the enemy does. Where there sickness there is subtraction which is against the law of wealth creation. Wealth/finances do not grow by consumption but by production. Let's exercise the power and authority given to us by God against sickness and disease
• Deuteronomy 7:15 NIV. _The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you._
*Prayer Focus #3*
*3. Deal with the spirit of debts and borrowing*
Where there is debts there is no financial sustainability. Raise your voice and plead with the heaven for the activation of divine resources at your disposal so that you pay off debts around you. Creditors wanted to terminate the family of the one of the sons of prophets; the wife of the son of the prophet arose to fight for the family; divine activation of oil took place and the family was rescued. Let’s claim these scriptures.
Pray that your resources and sources of help will not get stuck. Pray that you will not suffer the poverty of ideas as a family.
• Deuteronomy 15:6 _For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none._ You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.
*Parting Shot*
When all is said and done matters prosperity and financial dominion call for raising of an altar through sacrificial giving. Remember intercession without sacrifice is incomplete;
Abraham prayed; but the final confirmation of the promises of God over His life came at the altar of sacrificial giving. When he offered His son He was rewarded with the gates of dominion.
As you exercise the covenant practice of giving you create a pipe for the blessings of God to flow to you.
