November 2 is All Souls Day when we pray for the Souls in Purgatory who are being purified before entering Heaven.

While the word Purgatory does not appear in Scripture, the possibility of purification after death certainly does in undeveloped form. For example, in the book of Maccabees, Judas Maccabee sends an offering to the Temple on behalf of his fallen men who had committed a superstitious act (2 Macc. 12:39-45).

The Church dedicated the whole month of November to praying for the departed souls.

Offer Mass for your departed loved ones by writing their names on the departed souls envelopes available in the Church and place them in the box at the pillar.

ALL SAINTS' DAY is a CATHOLIC HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION, meaning ALL CATHOLICS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND MASS ON THAT DAY, unless they have an excellent excuse, such as serious illness.

All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with ALL SOULS DAY, which is observed on November 2, dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.

Today, the MYM (Missionary Youth Movement) of Our Lady of the Rosary has hosted their counterparts from Kabete Deanery to celebrate the Feast of the MYM Patron Saint Blessed Carlo Acutis whose Feast Day falls on October 12.

Blessed Carlo Acutis was a teenager who used technology to document Eucharistic miracles and our MYM has held an exhibition of the Eucharistic miracles documented by Blessed Carlo Acutis in his book that has been on sale in the exhibition tents.

Welcome to learn and be inspired by the life of a teenage gamer and computer programmer who loved soccer and most of all, the Holy Eucharist.
