Today we hosted Governor Gladys Wanga and a number of dignitaries at Mfangano Central SDA Church who participated in a fundraiser towards the infrastructural expansion of the Mfangano Adventist Mission Hospital.

The Mission Hospital complements the government's efforts towards the provision of quality healthcare to the Islanders. Grateful to President H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto , Cabinet Secretaries FCPA John Mbadi and Hon. Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen for extending their generosity towards this mission.

Thanks to our sons Silas Chepkeres Jakakimba and Dr. Michael Ang'anyo.

It's a new beautiful morning to us through God's grace.
This gives us opportunity to reflect our lives with God, the far He has walked with us, the huddles He has brought us through, it's honour and mercy and therefore we GLORIFY HIM, this will be shown as it is written in the book of Isiah 66"And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD."

Who are Seventh-day Adventist Church?

We are Christians who believe the Bible is our authority.
We believe in Jesus Christ as Savior.
His death.
His resurrection.
And His soon return.
That’s why we’re called Adventists—
because we believe in the second advent, the coming of Christ.
And why Seventh-day?
Because we keep the seventh-day Sabbath—Saturday—
the day God blessed at Creation (Genesis 2:3).
But that’s not all.
We care deeply about health—
that’s why many Adventists avoid harmful substances and often practice wholistic living.
We value education—
that’s why the Seventh-day Adventist Church runs one of the world’s largest Protestant school systems.
We value healing—
that’s why Adventists operate hospitals and clinics around the world.
We study prophecy.
We preach grace.
We believe the dead sleep until the resurrection.
And we believe God calls people back to biblical truth.
Are we perfect?
No.
But at our core—
We are people trying to follow Jesus seriously.
Not just in church.
In life.
So if you’ve never heard of Seventh-day Adventists…
Now you have known.
We’re not just the people who worship on Saturday—
we’re people waiting for Jesus to come back. 😇
