*WITHIN YOUR REACH.*

Samson found the jawbone of a dead donkey, took it, and killed a thousand men with it!
(Judges 15:15)

After being betrayed by his own people, Samson was surrounded by an army of Philistines. He had no weapons with which to defend himself. All the odds were against him. Looking around for a weapon, all he could find within reach was the jawbone of a donkey. He could have thought, “It’s just an ordinary bone. What good is it?” But when the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, what was common became extraordinary in the battle.

If you feel you are lacking what you need to accomplish your assignment from God, it will always be within reach and usually seem ordinary. It won’t be far off where you can’t attain it. Pay attention to what and who God brings across your path. It’s not there by accident. Don’t discount it because it seems common. God uses the ordinary to do the extraordinary. If you do what’s common, God will do what’s uncommon. If you recognize what you have and dare to use it, it will be instrumental in you overcoming obstacles and reaching your destiny."

*A Prayer For You* .
“Father, thank You that You made me just the way I am and that You’ve empowered me with the talent, resources, and personality You want me to have. I believe that what I need to fulfill my destiny is always within my reach. I will dare to step up and use it in the battles I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

You Are Blessed And Favoured.

*Fasting Against the Jeshurun Spirit*

Lent is not merely about giving up food.
It is about confronting what has grown fat inside us.
There is a name God used for His beloved people, *Jeshurun* .
_It means “upright one.”_
Chosen. Covenanted. Blessed.
But something tragic happened.
*Source: Book of Deuteronomy 32:15*
“But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked…
He forsook God who made him.”
Notice — they did not stop being chosen.
They stopped being dependent.
That is the danger Lent confronts.
1. *Lent Exposes Comfortable Christianity*
The spirit of Jeshurun does not thrive in persecution.
It thrives in comfort.
When prayers are answered.
When businesses stabilize.
When ministry grows.
When reputation solidifies.
We become full.
And fullness, unmanaged, produces forgetfulness.
_Moses warned them earlier:_
*_Source: Book of Deuteronomy_ 8:12–14*
“When you have eaten and are full…
then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord.”
Lent interrupts that cycle.
Fasting empties what prosperity filled.
2. *What Does It Mean to “Grow Fat” Spiritually?*
It means:
Prayer becomes optional.
Repentance becomes rare.
Gratitude becomes shallow.
Worship becomes performance.
Service becomes status.
We still attend church.
But we no longer tremble.
That is Jeshurun.
And Lent is heaven’s detox.
3. *Biblical Fasting Is Not Cosmetic*
True fasting is not dieting with scriptures attached.
The prophet Isaiah rebuked superficial religion:
*Source: Book of Isaiah 58:6*
“Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
✓To loose the bonds of wickedness…
✓To undo heavy burdens…”
Lenten fasting is not about looking spiritual.
It is about breaking pride.
*When we fast* :
✓We dethrone appetite.
✓We confront self-sufficiency.
✓We remember we are dust.
Ash Wednesday whispers what Jeshurun forgot: You are not self-made.
4. *Jesus and the Opposite Spirit*
Before beginning His public ministry, Jesus fasted forty days.
*Source: Gospel of Matthew 4:1–4*
He was hungry — yet humble.
Empty — yet empowered.
Jeshurun grew full and kicked.
Jesus grew empty and obeyed.
Lent calls us to the second pattern.
5. *Practical Ways to Fast Against Jeshurun*
This season, consider fasting from:
✓Self-promotion
✓Constant noise
✓Unnecessary luxury
✓Defensive pride
✓Spiritual complacency
*Add instead:*
✓Intentional gratitude journaling
✓Hidden acts of generosity
✓Restored prayer discipline
✓Confession before communion
✓Silence before speaking
Let hunger teach dependence again.
*RISE Lenten Call*
If God has blessed you — fast.
If God has expanded you — fast.
If God has prospered you — fast.
Not because prosperity is sin.
But because prosperity can seduce.
May we not grow fat and kick.
May we grow lean and cling.
May Lent strip what comfort layered.
May hunger restore holy fear.
Let this be the season we remember
before we forget.

*Fighting the Spirit of Jeshurun in the Lenten Season*
“Jeshurun grew fat and kicked;
filled with food, he became heavy and sleek.
He abandoned the God who made him…”
— Deuteronomy 32:15
*Lent is not merely about fasting from food.*
It is about fasting from pride.
The tragedy of Jeshurun was not sin in crisis —
it was complacency in comfort.
Jeshurun was blessed.
Jeshurun prospered.
Jeshurun became full.
And then — Jeshurun kicked.
The Subtlety of the Spirit
The spirit of Jeshurun does not announce itself loudly.
It whispers.
✓ “You are mature now.”
✓ “You don’t need to pray like before.”
✓ “You’ve overcome that stage.”
✓ “You are secure.”
It is spiritual fatness — not in body, but in soul.
*From the themes of Christian Character by Andrea Sterk and Peter Scazzero, we are reminded:*
H✓ We are justified by grace (Romans 3)
✓ Christ must hremain Lord h(Colossians 1)
✓ We are called to hholiness (Ephesians 4–5)
H✓ Humility and servanthood mark hhtrue maturity (Philippians 2)
Jeshurun forgets hgrace.
Jeshurun resists lordship.
Jeshurun softens holiness.
Lent confronts this drift.
When Blessing Becomes Dangerous
Prosperity is not evil.
But prosperity without gratitude breeds pride.
In the Gospel of Luke 14, Jesus speaks of the cross.
In the Gospel of Mark 10, He redefines greatness as servanthood.
*Yet the spirit of Jeshurun desires* :
✓ Crown without cross
✓ Title without towel
✓ Influence without intimacy
Lent returns us to the towel and the cross.
Lent as Holy Resistance
Fasting weakens the flesh.
Prayer strengthens dependence.
Repentance restores tenderness.
Ephesians reminds us:
“Be made new in the attitude of your minds.”
*To fight Jeshurun is to:*
✓ Remember where God found you
✓ Confess subtle pride
✓ Re-embrace costly obedience
✓ Refuse spiritual laziness
Humility is not automatic.
It is chosen.
A Word to Leaders
The spirit of Jeshurun is most dangerous in leadership.
✓ When sermons are prepared but hearts are dry.
✓ When influence grows but intimacy shrinks.
✓ When activity replaces adoration.
*Lent asks* :
Are we still hungry for God?
Or are we full of ourselves?
Lenten Prayer
Lord our Rock,
Deliver us from growing fat on Your blessings.
Keep us broken before You.
Restore holy hunger.
Crush every hidden pride.
Make us servants again.
Keep the cross before us.
Let us not kick against the One who saved us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*Board the Bus, Escape Condemnation*

Imagine yourself as an employee commuting on the company staff bus to work.

Along the way it rains heavily and traffic jam builds up and you end up arriving in the office 3 hours late.

Did you know that your manager will not ask you why you are late?

However if you boarded a matatu or you drove yourself to work and got late to work due to the same traffic jam, your manager would ask you to explain.

Why?

The moment you step onto that staff bus, something invisible but decisive happens: *responsibility shifts*. The driver takes control of the wheel and the responsibility.

The route, the timing, and the navigation are no longer in your hands.

Traffic delays may occur. Roadblocks may appear. The bus may slow down or even stop along the way.

Yet as a passenger, you are not blamed. No one expects you to jump out and direct traffic. No one condemns you for not controlling the road.

Why? Because your position changed the moment you boarded.

You are no longer accountable for navigating the journey; you are being carried toward a destination that is already secured.

This is the assurance that apostle Paul declared:

*“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”* Romans 8:1

To be in Christ is like boarding that staff bus.

Before boarding, everything depends on you. You must find your own way, navigate obstacles, and manage every delay.

If you arrive late or lose direction, the responsibility rests entirely on your shoulders.

Similarly the moment you are in Christ, responsibility shifts.

Your standing is no longer defined by your performance, but by your position in Him.

Your security is no longer grounded in your own strength, but in the One who carries you.

This does not mean there will be no traffic. There will still be seasons of waiting, moments of correction, growth, and process.

But those moments are no longer instruments of condemnation they are part of a journey already secured.

Condemnation belongs to those still trying to complete the journey alone, walking the highway exposed to every obstacle and carrying the full burden on their own shoulders.

Those in Christ are carried not because they are perfect, but because they are on the bus.

It is an invitation: board the bus of Christ and step into life without condemnation.

Stay blessed

We now step onto One of The Most Sensitive and Powerful Terrains.

*RUNNING TO WIN ON THE GOVERNANCE MOUNTAIN*

*Escaping the Spirit of Jeshurun in Politics and Public Leadership*
*Text:* Deuteronomy 32:15–18
“Jeshurun grew fat and kicked… he abandoned the God who made him.”

I. *Why the Governance Mountain Matters*
Governance determines:
•How power is used
•How justice is administered
•How resources are distributed
•How laws are framed
•How national morality is protected or eroded
If Education shapes minds,
and Media shapes imagination,
•Governance shapes systems.
•Laws can restrain evil —
or normalize it.
•Policy can protect righteousness —
or institutionalize compromise.
💎This mountain cannot be ignored.
II. *The Church and Governance:* A Delicate Tension
*Historically, the Church has oscillated between:*
1️⃣ Withdrawal — “Politics is dirty; stay out.”
2️⃣ Over-alignment — Becoming too close to power.
*Both extremes are dangerous.*
•Silence surrenders influence.
•Compromise corrupts witness.
💎Running to win means prophetic engagement without partisan captivity.
III. *The Jeshurun Spirit in Governance*
_The spirit of Jeshurun appears when:_
•Leaders grow comfortable in power.
•Influence replaces integrity.
•Access to state house replaces access to prayer.
•The Church prefers proximity to power over prophetic distance.
*Jeshurun did not collapse immediately.*
*He prospered first — then forgot.*
•The greatest danger for the Church in Governance is not persecution.
*It is comfort* .
•When clergy become chaplains of political ambition rather than prophets of righteousness, drift begins.
IV. *The Temptation of Political Favor*
_Governance offers_ :
•Visibility
•Invitations
•Funding •partnerships
•Public recognition
Influence
These are not inherently evil.
*But when:*
•Silence is traded for access,
•Conviction is softened for favor,
•Correction is withheld to preserve relationship,
•The Rock is quietly abandoned.
💎Running to win requires moral courage.
V. *What Is the Church’s Role in Governance?*
_The Church is not called to:_
Control the state.
Become a political party.
Campaign from the pulpit.
*The Church is called to:*
•Speak truth to power.
•Form leaders of integrity.
•Advocate justice for the vulnerable.
•Model ethical governance internally.
•We influence governance first by governing ourselves well.
💎If church structures lack transparency, our prophetic voice weakens.
VI. *Key Areas of Engagement*
1️⃣ Justice and Equity
_The Church must speak where:_
•Corruption harms the poor.
•Policy disadvantages the vulnerable.
•Public resources are mismanaged.
*Silence in injustice is complicity.*
2️⃣ Moral Legislation
_Where laws affect_ :
•Family structure
•Human dignity
•Sanctity of life
•Religious freedom
the Church must engage thoughtfully and respectfully.
3️⃣ Leadership Formation
Rather than merely criticizing politicians, *we must:*
•Mentor young believers in public service.
•Encourage ethical participation in civic life.
•Teach governance rooted in character.
•We complain about leaders we never trained.
VII. *The Internal Danger*
_The Jeshurun spirit can manifest in two ways:_
1️⃣ *Political Fear*
Avoiding engagement entirely.
2️⃣ *Political Idolatry*
Equating one party, tribe, or leader with Divine will.
•No political system is the Kingdom of God.
•When nationalism replaces discipleship, drift has begun.
VIII. *Running to Win on the Governance Mountain*
_To win:_
•We must fear God more than political backlash.
•We must guard non-partisan integrity.
•We must pray before we pronounce.
•We must correct without hatred.
•We must bless without flattery.
💎The Church must remain close enough to speak —
but far enough to remain free.
*IX. A Prophetic Warning*
If we trade the altar for access,
if we exchange conviction for convenience,
if we baptize ambition in religious language,
*Jeshurun will rise again.*
_But if we remain rooted in the Rock_ :
•We will influence without being absorbed.
•We will speak without being silenced.
•We will serve without being owned.
*Closing Prayer*
Lord, guard us from political pride.
Deliver us from partisan captivity.
Give us courage to speak truth with wisdom.
Raise leaders of integrity from among us.
Help us run to win on the Governance Mountain —
faithful, fearless, and free.
*Amen.*

*Happy Valentine’s Day!* 🌹

Today we celebrate love — the greatest gift God ever gave to humanity.

“Above all, put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” (Colossians 3:14)
May your heart be filled with the love that comes from God — pure, patient, kind, and enduring.
May your home be wrapped in peace, your relationships strengthened with grace, and your life overflow with genuine affection.
Let us love not just in words, but in action.
Not just in romance, but in sacrifice.
Not just today, but every day.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

May God’s love remain your greatest treasure. 🍒 🌹

*MORNING PRAYER AFTER DELIVERANCE & REDEDICATION*

In the name of Jesus Christ,
May the Lord who met you yesterday
keep you this morning.

May what God began in your life
be sealed by the Holy Spirit and established by the power of the blood of Jesus.
What was broken remains broken.
What was healed remains healed.
What was surrendered remains surrendered.
No old pattern, habit, fear, or bo***ge shall return.

May your mind be clear, your heart be at peace, and your spirit be steady today.

May the Lord order your steps,
guard your conversations,
and guide your decisions.

May your work, your studies, your business, and your home
bear the fruit of righteousness.

May you walk today in obedience, humility, and faith.
May you resist temptation and stand firm in truth.
May the grace of God empower you
to live out the rededication you made before Him.

May the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.

Go into this day covered, kept, and led by the Lord.
In Jesus’ mighty name.

Amen.

_PREPARATION SERIES 2:_

*COMING SET FOR CLEANSING, DELIVERANCE & REDEDICATION*

As we draw closer to the *Anointing, Cleansing & Deliverance Service,* The Church is called not merely to attend, but to come set—Spiritually, Mentally, and Intentionally.
Cleansing and Deliverance are *not casual moments.*
They require humility, honesty, and deliberate surrender before God.

1. *Come with a Willing and Truthful Heart*
Deliverance begins with truth before God.
*Come ready to:*
Acknowledge areas of bo***ge, stagnation, or oppression
✓Admit patterns that have persisted despite effort and prayer
✓Release what has been hidden, tolerated, or excused
Whether these involve:
✓Ungodly soul ties
Generational curses and parental patterns
Territorial influences affecting your name, lineage, or possessions
Persistent sin, fear, delay, or frustration
💎God requires truth in the inward being.
```“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
— 1 John 1:9```
2. *Come Having Written What You Are Trusting God to Cleanse, Break, or Restore*
All participants are encouraged to come having written down clearly the specific areas they are presenting before God.
*These may include:*
Cycles of poverty, lack, and indebtedness
✓Family breakdowns, separations, and generational struggles
✓Addictions, ungodly soul ties, and spiritual oppression
✓Delayed calling, frustrated destiny, and stagnated purpose
✓Recurring illness, barrenness, or mental affliction
✓Territorial patterns affecting land, businesses, homes, or family names
💎This written list is not for public reading.
It is a personal act of faith, focus, and surrender at the altar.
```“Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.”
— Psalm 62:8```
3. *Come Ready to Renounce, Release, and Rededicate*
Cleansing requires letting go before renewal can occur.
✓As you prepare:
Be ready to renounce ungodly covenants, soul ties, and inherited patterns
✓Be ready to release unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, and fear
✓Be ready to rededicate your life, family, labour, and future to God
Rededication is not emotional *it is covenantal.*
```“Choose this day whom you will serve.”
— Joshua 24:15```
4. *Deliverance & Cleansing Obligation Offering*
As part of our preparation, we are reminded that Biblical encounters with God were often accompanied by intentional honour at the altar.
This Sunday, we shall come with a *Deliverance & Cleansing Obligation Offering, guided by Scripture:*
“I will not offer to the Lord my God that which costs me nothing.”
— 2 Samuel 24:24
*This offering* :
Is not payment for deliverance
Is not a transaction or manipulation
Is an act of obedience, honour, gratitude, and faith
As we present our written burdens and surrender them before God, *we also present our substance—acknowledging God as the source of life,* freedom, and restoration.
5. *Come Prayerful and Expectant*
In the days leading to the service:
Pray personally and with your family
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas requiring cleansing
Approach the service with faith and reverence, not curiosity
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
— James 4:8
This service is not about display.
It is about cleansing, deliverance, rededication, and forward movement.
*Come set.*
*Come ready* .
*Come believing* .
```PREPARATION FOR DELIVERANCE SERIES 1:```

*RECOGNIZING THE MANIFESTATIONS WE BRING TO THE ALTAR*

*As we prepare for the Anointing, Cleansing & Deliverance Service this Sunday* , the Church is called to honest self-examination and spiritual discernment before God.
Deliverance is often required not because of dramatic encounters, but because of persistent spiritual and life patterns that resist prayer, effort, counsel, and time.
💎*These manifestations may include, but are not limited to:*
~*Cycles of* poverty, lack, financial ~*struggle, stagnation* , and insufficiency, where labour produces little fruit
~*Debts and haunting* indebtedness, chronic financial pressure and unexplained loss
~*Ungodly addictions* and compulsive behaviours of every kind
~*Repeated business collapse,* job loss, closures, failures, or long-standing stagnation
~*Family patterns of separation,* breakdown, conflict, and divorce
~*Recurring sudden deaths* , premature deaths, accidents, or repeated loss
~*Generational and parental curses* , ancestral covenants, bloodline limitations, and inherited struggles
~*Ungodly soul ties* , unhealthy spiritual, emotional, or covenantal attachments that drain life and progress
~*Territorial spirits and patterns* affecting your name, lineage, land, homes, businesses, and possessions, including generational trailing struggles
~*Cyclic and recurring* diseases and ailments, including chronic and life-threatening conditions
~*Mental oppression, confusion* , torment, emotional instability, heaviness, and persistent fear
~*Barrenness in every form* —physical, emotional, spiritual, relational, and productive
~*Delayed calling* , frustrated destiny, loss of vision, stagnated purpose, and wasted seasons
~*Contact objects* , charms, tokens, altars, or items, knowingly or unknowingly connected to spiritual bo***ge
~*Manifestations of possession,* oppression, or strong influence, whether subtle or overt
~A *sense of wasting away, decline* , loss of strength, persistent fatigue, and fading hope
💎These are not issues of shame, fear, or accusation.
*They are issues for the altar of God.*
We therefore urge all who will attend to prayerfully identify and write down any area *one or many* that affects their life, family, labour, name, possessions, or generations.
💎What is brought into the light can be surrendered.
What is surrendered at the Cross can be broken.
“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.”
— Lamentations 3:40
*Deliverance Obligation Offering*
Further, this Sunday we shall come with a *Special Deliverance Obligation Offering,* guided by the enduring Biblical principle of honour, sacrifice, and obedience at the altar.
*The Word of God declares:*
_“I will not offer to the Lord my God that which costs me nothing.”
— 2 Samuel 24:24_
This offering is not a payment for deliverance, nor a transactional exchange with God.
It is an intentional act of worship, gratitude, surrender, and trust—acknowledging that our lives, resources, and futures belong to God.

As we present our burdens for cleansing and deliverance, we also present our substance in obedience, faith, and reverence.
Come prepared.
Come prayerful.
Come ready for the altar.
