WHEN THE STORMS OF LIFE RAGE
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

Storms of life. You know them well. They overwhelm you. Wave after wave of relentless battering that knocks you off your feet till you don’t know which side is up. Till every ounce of energy is used up and you feel so weak, abandoned, and lonely. Perhaps you’re caught in one of life’s storms right now.

Dear friend, when the storms of life rage, don’t go by what you see and hear all around you. Don’t go by your negative feelings and emotions. Live by the truth of God’s Word, which encourages you to “be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic . . . For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you” (Deut. 31:6 NLT).
The Lord is faithful! He doesn't renege on His promises!

Ask and it will be given to you.

Morning Ndugu,

Hope that you are encouraged in this season.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

May the Lord answer you when you call. May the Lord hear the cry of your heart and be your place of refuge and strength. May the Lord show himself strong and faithful on your behalf even as you wait on Him.

Praying for the grace and covering of the Lord upon you.

Have a blessed week ahead.

Here is Your Word for Today:

*Verse: Exodus 33:14*

The LORD replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’

*Thoughts on Today's Verse*

- One thing that we cannot do without is the presence of God in our lives.

- Without His presence in our lives, life becomes meaningless.

- Don’t try to do life on your own, rather rely on His presence.

- Knowing that He is with you makes all the difference, and it brings peace.

*PRAYER:*

Lord, I never want to find myself in a place where I am not aware of Your presence in my life.

I choose to follow You and to know and experience Your abiding presence in my life. In Jesus Name.

*AMEN 🙏*

*How to Get From Here to There - Joshua 1*

*Recognize God's commitment (v. 5)*
"No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Joshua could accept the challenge because he recognized God's promise to him. In essence, God said to Joshua, "If you accept the challenge, I'll commit myself to you."

*A. Powerful presence*
In verse 5, God reminded Joshua that no one would be able to stand against Israel. not because of their power, but because of His power. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, He, too, promises us His power and presence for our lives.

*B. Personal presence*
This power is not of angels or principalities but of the Lord Himself. God initially showed His presence as the house of Jacob left Egypt by an accompanying cloud or pillar of fire - but no more. Even when you don't see God, He is there. The people of Israel were to be willing to face the challenges ahead because God was with them.

*C. Permanent presence*
Verse 5 also carries the assurance that Joshua would never be left or forsaken. Christ has made us the same commitment to us. He has given us His Spirit to live in us so we won't be alone. God's presence becomes personal when we respect God's commands.

*Amen*

Promise #110:
I do not show favoritism in My family.

Ephesians 6:9 (WEB)
You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening,
knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven,
and there is no partiality with him.

In today's Scripture verse, Paul the Apostle is giving instruction to the Church on how masters should treat their servants. He reminds them that they also have a Master in heaven who doesn't show favoritism so we should be careful not to mistreat those who are under our own supervision either.

Ephesians 6:9 in the New International Version Bible says it this way... And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him. (NIV)

God does not play favorites! Every son and daughter is equal at His table. Of course we are called to submit to every authority that God has instituted in heaven and on earth, but it is clear that God does not favor one of His kids over the other. The truth of the matter is that we are ALL His favorites!

There is only one speed in which our God and Father can love... and that is with ALL His heart. In John 17:23, Jesus while praying to His Father says... I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. (ESV)

The Father loves you and me with the same love that He loves Jesus! It is a wonderful thought to think that we are loved that much, but it is true. God does not show favoritism in His family. He loves ALL of us with ALL His heart.

Harmony at home (2)

“A house divided against itself will fall.” Lk 11:17 NIV

They say, “The apple never falls far from the tree,” and Jacob certainly proved that. Nearing the end of his life when he should have been preparing to bless his sons Simeon and Levi, he told them, “I…curse…you because of your…anger” (Ge 49:7 CEV). But their behavior should have come as no surprise. The fact is, Jacob had already shaped them by his own example when he deceived his father (See Ge 27) and his father-in-law (See Ge 30). And his mother facilitated the deception. Behavioral patterns are passed from generation to generation. Your attitudes and actions will either blight your children or bless them. The Word of God says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Pr 22:6). Your children inherit more than just your looks. They end up with the values you taught and the emotional disposition you displayed. Don’t involve them in your marital disputes. The Bible says, “Anger rests in the bosom of fools” (Ecc 7:9 NKJV), and kids are easy targets for misdirected rage. Even when your outbursts aren’t aimed at them, they still suffer the effects. For example, your boss reprimands you at work, and because you can’t retaliate, you come home like a bear with a headache and make everybody around you walk on eggshells. Lower the decibel level! Don’t let your anger run amok. King David shone on the battlefront but struggled on the home front. Perhaps that’s why one of the last Psalms reads like this: “Help me to guard my words whenever I say something” (Ps 141:3 CEV).

Morning Ndugu,

Hope that you are well and encouraged in this season.

Surely God does not reject one who is blameless or strengthen the hands of evildoers. He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. Job‬ ‭8:20-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

May the blessing and favor of the Lord be upon you. May the Lord restore to you that which has been taken. May the Lord redeem the time and order your paths. May He surround you with His Presence and put a hedge of covering around you and your loved ones.

I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. Job‬ ‭19:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

May the Lord remember you and hear the cry of your heart.

Have a blessed week ahead.

Inspirational Short Sermons

*Sermon #29: Jesus on His Teaching*

"My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me." - John 7:16 (NIV)

All Christians are teachers. They teach somebody something at some point. They explain Christian issues to those in their sphere of influence. This is how souls are won and developed.

It's therefore important for every Christian to keep in mind the cardinal rule regarding teaching, namely that the teacher should never propagate their own teaching, but only that which comes from God. "So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say," Jesus declared in John 12:50 (NIV).

When one is teaching, they could face some temptation to spice up the teaching, tweak it a bit, even to introduce small lies to a specific end. One should always guard against this. Teaching carries immense responsibilities; with it one can make or unmake their audience.

Furthermore, teaching should be done to the end that God, and not the teacher, may be glorified. The Bible says, "He who speaks on his own does so to gain honour for himself, but he who works for the honour of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him" - John 7:18 (NIV).

Amen.

Promise #18:
My power will rest on you when you are weak.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (WEB)
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

Today's promise comes from an encounter that Paul the Apostle had with the Lord Jesus Himself. It would be helpful if you could read the entire text found in 2 Corinthians 12:1-10. In a nutshell, Paul has this incredible third heaven experience where he sees amazing things that he is not able to share with others. Afterwards he encounters a 'thorn in his flesh', a messenger of Satan sent to harass him.

Three times he asked the Lord to take away this 'thorn in his flesh' and Jesus' response to Paul in the first part of verse 9 was... He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (WEB) After Paul heard these words from Jesus Himself, he received a new revelation of how the kingdom of God works.

In the last part of verse 9, Paul responds to Jesus by saying... Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. (WEB) The kingdom of God is opposite to the kingdom of this world. It is the poor in spirit that will inherit the kingdom. God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. The last shall be first and of course, the weak will be made strong.

My prayer today is that we would have eyes to see the kingdom of God and embrace it with all our hearts. When we are empty of our own ability to manage life, may we see that it is then that Christ's power rests on us. May we all be able to boast in our weaknesses so that the strength of our Elder Brother Jesus, might be perfected in us

WHOSE FATHER.
*Whose Father is He?*

```A beggar came asking for food. I told him to come around to the back door and asked him to sit on the floor while I went in to bring the left over food.
I brought him food & said, let's pray. Now repeat after me, "Our FATHER in Heaven". He said, "Your Father in Heaven". I said."No, say OUR FATHER in Heaven". He again said, "Your Father in Heaven"!!!
This extremely Irritated me! I asked why do you say 'Your' father when I say 'Our' FATHER?'
He said, "Sir, it's like this. If I say Our FATHER, then we both become brothers. If we are brothers, you would invite me in through the front door and not the back; you would ask me to sit at your dining table not on the floor; you'd also not give me stale food! Sir, somehow it's not possible that we are sons of the same father"!
He may be your Father, but he can't be OUR father!
Whose FATHER is He?
It took a beggar to teach me the truth!!!```
*GOD becomes our FATHER when we treat one another as brothers and sisters.*
Think very deeply about this. Be your brothers keeper. Remain blessed.
PROMISE #7 - THURSDAY JANUARY 7, 2021
1/7/2021
Promise #7:
I have given you eternal life because you have believed in Jesus Christ.
John 3:16 (WEB)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 is one of the most quoted, most loved Bible verses in the New Testament. This Scripture has been used by evangelists over the years to invite many people to come to Christ. The foundation of this much loved verse is and always will be, the love of the Father. For God (the Father) so loved the world...
It was the great love of our Heavenly Father that caused Him to give up His most treasured possession, the life of His Son, so that we too could share in Jesus' eternal life. What a glorious promise! We were loved so much by God, that He gave up all that He loved in order to gain our love!
May we never take the wonder of John 3:16 for granted, but may we continue to revel in the amazing love our God and Father has for us every day in our lives. Thank you Father for loving us so much, that you sent your only begotten Son to the world in order to purchase our redemption
01/12/2020
_Good morning God's Blessed Children_ ! As God's chosen vessels/people generation,we have the surest word of God to show that the end is near. My brothers and sisters,the world is to be warned, and as never before we are to be laborers with Christ in the Heavenly Sanctuary. The work of warning has been entrusted to us. We are to be channels of light to the world, imparting to others the light we receive from the great Light Bearer Jesus Christ. Let us not be backward now. That which is to be done in warning the world must be done without delay.
We have no time to lose. Important work is before us, and if we are slothful servants we shall certainly lose the Heavenly kingdom/home. If ever there was a time when we needed to understand our responsibilities, it is now, when truth is fallen in the streets and equity cannot enter. Satan has come down with great power to work with all _deceivableness_ of unrighteousness in them that _perish_ ; and everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and those things that cannot be shaken will *remain* . The Lord is coming very soon, and we are entering into scenes of calamity. Satanic agencies, though unseen, are working to destroy human life. But if our life is hid with Christ in God, we shall see of His grace and salvation in his Glorious Kingdom. My beloved brethren, let's work now as we have never worked before. We are exhorted to _"be instant in season, out of season_ *." 2 Timothy 4:2.* We are to improve every opportunity of drawing souls to Christ, speaking of a Saviour's love from a warm and throbbing heart. The Lord calls upon all of us to seek to save perishing souls. Be among who will say _"am here Lord,sent me"_ *.Isaiah 6:8* .
Have a joyful preparation day! Be blessed to bless more in God's vineyard!
