Lesson for January 17, 2026

RUNNING THE WINNING RACE

Scripture Reading Psalms 19

Memory Verse Isaiah 40:31

1. How are we admonished to run this race? Heb12: 1, last part.

2. In running, what two things should we lay aside? Verse1 middle part.

3. How is the number of our witness described? Verse 1, first part.

4. To whom should we look while running in this race? Verse 2, first part.

5. What was Solomon’s and Paul’s observation concerning those who run in this race? Eccl.9:11, first part, Roman 9:16

6. How is the glory of God, as revealed in the heavenly planets, described? Psa. 19:1-3

7. To what extent is this glory extended? Verses 4,6

8. How is their going compared with him who runs in a race? Verses 5.

Note: - This race is not for the swift, nor is the battle for the strong. Yet King David
indicates that it takes a strong man to run a race. Eccl. 9:11 represent those who make sporadic effort in the beginning of their race and quickly fail under tests, while Romans 9:16 represents those who realize their nothingness and seek strength daily in the altar of prayer to endure.

wanaotambua udhaifu wao na wanatafuta nguvu kila siku katika madhabahu ya maombi hili kuvumilia.

Lesson for December 27, 2025

THE RESURRECTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS AND THE WICKED

Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 15: 12-58.

Memory verse: 1 Corinthians 15: 22.

1. Will everyone be resurrected? John 5: 28, 29.

2. When will the righteous be resurrected unto life eternal? 1 Corinthians 15: 22, 23; Revelation 20: 4; 1 Thess. 4:16.

3. What will happen to the saints who will be alive at the appearing of Jesus? 1 Thess. 4:17;
1 Corinthians 15:52,53.

4. Where will the resurrected saints dwell and what will be their work during the millennium reign of Christ? Revelation 5:10; Daniel 7:27; Luke 19:15-19.

Note. What a wonderful blessing awaits all the faithful in Christ Jesus. All who have died in the Lord will be made alive at the appearing of Jesus, while the living saints will be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye, and they will live and reign with Christ a thousand years. During this time Jesus will reign upon the throne of David. Luke 1:32; Isaiah 24:23.

5. Where will the wicked dead be during this millennial age?Revelation 20:5,6.

6. Will the wicked ever be resurrected? John 5:28,29.

7. For what purpose will the wicked be brought forth? Job 21:30; 2 Peter 2:9.

8. When the wicked are resurrected where will they have to appear? Revelation 20:11,12.

Note. The judgement is for the wicked, since the righteous went to judgement when they confessed their sins, were born again and became obedient unto the words of the Lord, thus they passed from death into life and became members of the family of God. 1 Timothy 5:24; John 5:24.

9. What will the final end of the wicked be? Revelation 20: 13-15; 21:8; Malachi 4:1-3; Obadiah 1:16

HEAVENLY RECORDS THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE

Scripture Reading: Revelation 3rd chapter.

Memory Verse: “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed with white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but will confess his name before my Father, and before His angels” Verse 5.

1. Has there been a book arranged in heaven for records of people living on this earth? Malachi 3:16.

2. What is said about the deliverance of those whose names are to be found written in this Book of Life? Malachi 3:17; also Daniel 12:1.

3. What effect should it have upon the faithful ones, to know their names are written in heaven? Luke 10:19, 20.

4. Are there any other books opened besides the Book of Life at the time of judgment? Revelations 20:12

5. After people have been adopted into the heavenly family, and their names written in the Book of Life, and continue in righteousness, is it possible for their names not to be there on the day of judgment? Revelations 3:5.

6. After Paul had preached the gospel, and was actually one of this holy family, what did he say about the danger of being a castaway? 1 Corinthians 9:27.

7. What are we told further about the danger of falling away, after once having been anointed and experienced in the gift of the Holy Spirit? Hebrews 6:4-8; 1Corinthians
