Kendu Adventist School of Medical Sciences Kendu Adventist School of Medical Sciences is a mid level medical training college established in 1948 by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The School train Diploma in Nursing (KRCHN) and Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery Kendu Adventist School of Medical Sciences is a mid-level college offering medical courses at Diploma level in Kenya's Homabay County. The institution is managed by the Seventh Day Adventist Church's West Kenya Union Conference and directly by Kendu Adventist Hospital. Currently the school offers:
1. Diploma i

n Clinical Medicine and Surgery
2.Diploma in Community Health Nursing
regulated by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya and the Nursing council of Kenya respectively. The college has trained thousands of healthcare professional since its inception in 1948 and currently has a student population of about 350 students, 200 pre-service nursing students, 50 in-service nursing students and 100 clinical medicine students. The college admits students in March and in September but we accept applications through out the year. letters of admission are only issued to those who are successful at the interviews held before each admission. KASMS trains the most deserving, promising and diverse student body and provides innovative, distinctive, and highest quality healthcare training that inspires the zest for faith-based learning.

SUMMIT SUMMARY

Theme: The future of nursing: AI, innovation and advocacy in healthcare.

1. Understand how AI is used in patient documentation and vital signs (computer literacy).

2. Know the difference between regulating bodies, association bodies and professional bodies in nursing (testable in NCK).

3. NNAK president Hon. Collins Ajwang graced the event by appreciating Jacobeth a KASMS alumni on her bravery that fateful Saturday evening when plane crashed and promoting KASMS to global standards.

4. KESNNUR-NNAK partners: Lecturio, Tumerit, Godwit and Global passcode consultants. Global passcode links members to nursing in German and USA.

5. Understand leadership structure of all nursing professional bodies from global to county levels.

6. Evidence-informed nursing integrated with AI is now taking the shape of nursing practice.

7. Students and Novice nurses to attend webinars and trainings organized by NCK, NNAK, KNUNM and KESNNUR to grow and support nursing.

8. Integration of all diploma courses to KRCHN, BSc into either BScN or BScM(midwifery) going forward.

Kendu Adventist School of Medical Sciences started way back in the year 1948 and it has stretched it's infrastructure to a point of starting up a storey building to accommodate more students and expand to accomodate more courses.
