Seminaries Endowment Fund

Seminaries Endowment Fund The S.E.F was launched by the K.C.C.B in 2018. The idea is to collect funds and then prudently and professionally invest.

The purpose is to ensure the five major seminaries in Kenya have the resources they need to effectively carry out their role.

We all know St. Monica as the mother who prayed for Augustine.

But here's something you may not know about her.

When Monica was dying, she told her sons not to worry about where she would be buried.

Instead, she simply asked that wherever they were, they remember her at the altar.

After everything she had lived through, perhaps what mattered most to her was knowing that she would be remembered in prayer.

Today, on the Feast of St. Monica, we remember her and all the people we continue to pray for.

And if there's someone you've been praying for for a long time, don't give up just yet. St. Monica understands.

St. Monica, pray for us.

There’s a little detail in St. Bartholomew’s story that is easy to miss.

Before Philip called Nathanael, Jesus had already seen him “under the fig tree.”

We’re never told what Nathanael was doing there. But when Jesus mentioned it, Nathanael immediately knew that He was no ordinary man.

It’s a tiny moment in the Gospel, but a beautiful one: Jesus saw him before Nathanael even knew where his journey was going.

Today, as we celebrate St. Bartholomew, may we remember that God sees every person He calls—and He is still calling men to serve His Church today.

Life has a way of testing our hope.

There are seasons of uncertainty, unanswered prayers, loss, and waiting. In those moments, it's easy to believe that despair has the final word.

No matter what we face today, we live with the hope that Christ has conquered sin, suffering, and death.

If these words speak to you today, share them with someone who might need this reminder.

St. James is widely represented by the scallop shell. According to ancient legends, after his ship wrecked or when his body was being transported to Spain by sea, a horse and rider fell into the water. They were miraculously saved and emerged from the ocean completely covered in scallop shells. Today, pilgrims walking his trail wear a scallop shell on their backpacks.

Happy Feast Day.

Have you ever prayed for a seminarian or a priest? Do you pray for them? They need our prayers now more than ever.

Not only a priest you already know, but also a young man still preparing for the priesthood.

Today, somewhere in Kenya, there are men in formation praying, studying, discerning, and preparing to one day serve God's people. Their journey isn't always easy, and they need our prayers just as much as our encouragement.

As you watch this prayer, remember them before the Lord.

🙏 Tag a priest or a seminarian you'd like to honour with a prayer today.
