The Uniqueness Of Man || Bishop Dr. Eric Munene.

*Man was passionately made by God's Hand
The Lord God formed man out of the dust ( Practical involvement in the design ).
We are not an accident. God intentionally planned for you.
You are a product of divine intentionallity
The Holy Trinity said let us create a man (Gen 1:26)

Isa 64;8
but now Lord you are our Father, Father ( Pateros - progenitor) where we come from
Eph 2:10
we are his workmanship creaed in Christ Jesus for good work
which God prepared. We are God archtectural design.

* Only man was created in the image of God
both internal -Inner Man , external man - [physic ] to represent him on the phase of the earth.

*Man was made you alive by the breath Of God , [ Gen 2:7 ]
God breathing in man is spiritual impartation . You carry aportion of divinity in you .

God's Order For Human life.
God gave man;

* Identity - who is man who am I
the greatest quizy you must ask, who am I?
Gen 1:26 created in the image Of God
what bad you can have is identity crisis
I am a man created in the Image Of God.
Before God created you He affirmed his word.

* Responsibility- what you should do when you live ?
Five responsibility given to man to do:
^Be fruitful- productive, ^multiply- reproduce, ^fill the earth-let your influence be everywhere, ^subdue , ^dominion.
when you understand your responsibility you'll emerge
whatever you do , where you take responsibility take it with faithfulness. How are you executing your current assignment?

*Authority -How to function in the responsibility
Gen 1:28
there is an authority that has given to man
Luke 9; 1 [power & Authority ] authority is your faithfulness in your responsibility .
God gave man five mandate there are shared but there are two which cann't be shared with other animals.
subdue - stewardship , Dominion
the greatest discovery one can have while he lives is the discovery of a unique purpose in creation.

Guarding your Calling || Bishop Dr. Eric Munene.
I Timothy 4 :16

look well to yourself and to your teaching .
Keep a firm grasp on both character and your teaching .

Acts 20:28
Take heed to yourself and to the flock
Become the shepherd the church your shepherding belongs to Jesus .

The call to ministry is one of the greatest privileges
There are people who thought they finished bad
not that they started bad bout due to internal corruption .
Gal 3 1
I Cor 10 :12
it is not enough to have a large calling.

Why Should we guard our calling

*The call we have is divine and sacred
sacred- holy calling ,Divine - from the Lord
* Many Destinies are connected ( Attached ) to your calling. You are like a Large tree where many birds are perching on you so if you fall they fall.
* The enemy targets the most influential
The higher you go, satan has bigger demands on you.

Pitfalls For Ministry
Pitfall is something can make you go down to nothing , they are subtle;

1.Neglect Of Personal Relationship with God.
Being too busy to do what God called us to do though neglecting personal relationship with God .Neglecting the place of intimacy.
God is interested with your relationship
Be friends with Him Before Serving Him
John 15 :15
Amos 3:3
God is calling to a place of Intimacy with Him

Symptoms of this
-When Prayer becomes mechanical and forced
-Bible study becomes sermon preparation to deliver not to study
-Lack of spiritual sensitivity .
-Activity replaces Intimacy.
judges 16;20

2 Diversion from Original Calling .
Somebody gradually abandons the original calling and starts pursuing other ambitions.
some causes for diversion;
seeking recognition, pressure from people, comparison ,material Attraction, Lacking clarity concerning our assignment.( I Samuel 15:24 , Saul doing the work that was supposed to be done by the we need to be very clear on our calling ) (Demas 2 Tim 4 : 9 )

two things to revisit
Original voice you heard when saved,

Do not accept every opportunity to discern them according to the Spirit,
Remain accountable to spiritual oversight.

3.Pride $ Self Exaltation
giving yourself a value than what you deserve, blotted ego, taking to much credit on what God is doing you
Bring down those who are rising .
[Isaiah 14:12-15 , Ezekiel 28 The fall of Lucifer ]

Due to self exaltation was brought
Proverbs 16 :18
Pride comes before a fall.
"First pride, then the crash—
the bigger the ego, the harder the fall."

Symptoms of Pride
*Desire for self exaltation - recognition should come naturally
*Inability to receive corrections.
*Self Promotion
*Looking down on others.

those who were proud in the Bible.
lucifer , king Uzziah (2Ch 26:16 ), Herod (Acts 12:21)

remedy
* Know The gift you've originate from God
* Remain teachable regardless of height
*Learn to give Glory To God
*Stay connected accountable to authorities .

Who is Man ? Why is man so mysterious?
Both natural and supernatural, finite but carries eternity in Him.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Psalms 8:4
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?

Gen 2 :7
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

The Mystery of Man

1. The Mystery of the physical component of a man
-Formed from the dust the very creation of God ( Gen1:1), earth composed of the dust. From the dust was formed to dominate the earth the very creation of God
- Man without divine intervention is useless, just a mere chemical. *Man cannot add to anything if he is independent of God.
-The greatest deficiency is the deficiency of self sufficiency without the breath Of God. Don't feel that you are sufficient, we totally depend on God .People eating a good diet are dying while those eating from the bin are living.

*Man possess limitation - not Omnipotent, not Omnipresent, not Omniscient but what man needs to do align his ambition to the will Of God.

Man can never escape creation ,created from the dust man should live a life of humility.
Psalm 103:13,14- [It is good to leave a humble life from the dust ]

2.The Mystery Of Man's Spiritual Nature.

-God breathed his nostrils the breath of life ( Zoe ) not oxygen that we breath but Life Giving Spirit that made man a spiritual being .
- A man is a spirit whose soul dwells in a body
-It is not in the abundance of years that one has wisdom but the Spirit in man that give him understanding
-God breathe in Zoe ,Ruach what differentiate man from animals

The Spiritual Component of a man
* Spiritual Consciousness - awareness of the existence of God .
We are aware that God exists .
* We've got the capacity to reflect God - Only man was created to represent God .

- Man should live a life that reflects God
God is Omniscient - all knowing but man knows but not everything.
God is Omnipotent - All powerful but man carries potency though for at times he gets weary.
God is Omnipresent- God's presence everywhere though man is present but not everywhere.

-This gives us the capacity to reflect God. God is not distant but has allowed to be carried by mortal men.
You are natural and dualistic. You have a life, but have eternity in you.
-The years you have here on earth are enough to cause an eternal Impact.

-What would you have done if given a lifetime limit ? If there is something that you can do now. We are living on borrowed time, let's live a deliberate life.

-What have you done to make a better kingdom.[ Parable of the ten talents- occupy till I come] doing business Do something that can cause kingdom impact
Help me to leave a life of purpose .
