SUNDAY SERVICE

PREACHER : BRO JOSHUA KIVUVA

SCRIPTURE : 1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-27

THEME : STEPHANOS.
A Greek word for a crown made of vines worn by a winner in a race.

Athletes compete for a perishable crown. Christians strive for an incorruptible crown.
Hebrews 12:1.
We have weights which we should put off as Christians, which easily entangles us as we take on this journey of faith.
The weights to get rid of, among many others, are:
1. Unforgiveness.
2. Past guilt
3. Bitterness.

How do we pay aside these weights?
1. By examining our priorities
2. Practicing spiritual discipline in:
a). Reading the Word.
b). Devoting ourselves to prayer
c). Fellowship.
3. Fixing our eyes on Jesus.
