It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kukhu Anastanzia Nanguri Mulondo, the wife of the late Sakwa Ochieng'. The late Anastancia was born in 1940 at Ebusia Village, of Malaha Location in Mumias East Sub-County.

She was baptized on 10th of November 1940 and received First Holy Communion in 1953 thereafter the Sacrament of Confirmation in 1954 at St. Peter's Mumias Parish.

In her life, she was a member of Our Lady of Visiitation Small Christian Community (Eshikwenyi) at Anne's Catholic Church, Eshisiru. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary (Mwana Lecho), CWA, Caritas and the Choir. It should be remembered that Kukhu Anastanzia is the Grandmother to Rev. Fr. Augustus Omumani of Nyadorera Parish among others. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Requiem Mass and the farewell Mass shall be communicated in due time.

The Very Rev. Fr Antony Shiracko Ndondolo of St Peter's Seminary Mukumu is preparing the junior Seminarian'sJournalism Club to Regional participation in the Nyanza and Western Region competition sponsored by the Media Council of Kenya . The young Turks are very ready to participate in the Regional Media Council of Kenya Inter-Schools Journalism Clubs Expo which will be held at the Sacred Heart Mukumu Girls High School later this month. The Junior Secondary is part of the registered teams in the Western and Nyanza Regions cohort that brings together close to 100 schools prepared to compete for excellence in journalism through a five category competition that includes: News Anchoring and News Reporting; Interview Skills through Panel Discussion; Media Podcast and Digital Content creation; Journalism School Club portfolio and also the Sports Commentary. Each outstanding individual shall too be awarded and recognized as per the judge's discretion. We wish our junior Seminarians the very best. The Bishop of Kakamega Diocese Rt. Rev. Joseph Obanyi Sagwe is received in Eldoret as its new Shepherd. Following the appointment of His Most Grace Dominic Kimengich as the Coadjutor Bishop of the Arch-Diocese.of Mombasa, his appointment as the Diocesan's Apostolic Administrator of the now vacant Eldoret Diocese will ensure that there is no vacuum in the Diocesan Apostolic duties until it gets a new shepherd. Let us continue praying for our Bishop for this extra task.
