Good morning dear Friends of St Peter's Seminary Mukumu,

Help us deliver the above message to the following candidates of our August interviews:

1. Currently Grade 6 young boys transiting to grade 7 next year.

2. Currently Grade 7 young boys going to grade 8 next year

3. Currently Grade 8 young boys going to grade 9 next year

4. Currently Grade 9 young boys transiting to grade 10 next year.

NOTE:

FROM ST. PETER’S SEMINARY - MUKUMU.

RE: INVITATION TO THE CELEBRATION OF THE ST. PETER’S SEMINARY FAMILY DAY.

Greetings and well wishes from St. Peter’s Seminary.

I humbly write to invite you to join us during our Family Day as we celebrate the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul.

We have scheduled to mark the day on Saturday 27TH JUNE, 2026.

On the same day, we shall have a funds drive to raise funds towards the GENERAL RENOVATIONS PHASE II/ ICT CENTER.

The Eucharistic Celebration shall begin at 9:30 AM presided over by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Joseph Obanyi Sagwe, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega.

Thereafter, we shall have fundraising and Launching of the 2025/2026 Alumni Project, which is the Construction of a perimeter wall, after which we shall have a Soccer match between the Minor Seminarians versus the Clergy/Alumni.

Today the Church has lost again but heaven has gained. Following the untimely demise of Stephen, a requiem Mass has been held in memory of his soul. Burial will be done tomorrow in Machakos County. May his soul rest in peace. Amen @

Kukhu, today we collect your remains from the cold room and straight we head to celebrate your life with the highest form of Thanksgiving: Holy Mass! You have really served as a devoted Catholic and your soul we now commit to the Lord. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. And may they rest in peace, Amen.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kukhu Anastanzia Nanguri Mulondo, the wife of the late Sakwa Ochieng'. The late Anastancia was born in 1940 at Ebusia Village, of Malaha Location in Mumias East Sub-County.

She was baptized on 10th of November 1940 and received First Holy Communion in 1953 thereafter the Sacrament of Confirmation in 1954 at St. Peter's Mumias Parish.

In her life, she was a member of Our Lady of Visiitation Small Christian Community (Eshikwenyi) at Anne's Catholic Church, Eshisiru. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary (Mwana Lecho), CWA, Caritas and the Choir. It should be remembered that Kukhu Anastanzia is the Grandmother to Rev. Fr. Augustus Omumani of Nyadorera Parish among others. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Requiem Mass and the farewell Mass shall be communicated in due time.
