🌅 *WEDNESDAY MORNING DEVOTION - 27TH MAY 2026.*
*Theme: Remembering the Lord*
*Reflection*
In the middle of busy schedules, responsibilities, and distractions,
it is possible to become familiar with spiritual things while losing deep reverence.
But God calls us not only to believe —
He calls us to remember.
📖 *Scripture*
1 Corinthians 11:23–24
“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread…”
*Message*
Paul reminds the church about the meaning of the Lord’s Supper.
This moment was not just a religious tradition —
it was a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.
Jesus gave thanks, broke the bread, and said:
“Do this in remembrance of Me.”
Remembrance is powerful.
When you remember what Christ has done:
• gratitude increases
• faith becomes stronger
• pride begins to fade
The cross reminds us that salvation came through sacrifice, grace, and love.
It also reminds us to examine our hearts carefully.
Paul warned the believers not to approach holy things carelessly or without honor.
God desires sincere hearts, not empty routine.
Never allow familiarity with spiritual things to remove your reverence for Christ.
*Reflection*
Do I still carry deep gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice?
Have spiritual routines become casual or empty to me?
Am I living in remembrance of what Jesus has done?
Christ’s sacrifice deserves reverence and gratitude.
Remembering Him strengthens faith and humility.
*Prayer*
Father, thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Help me never lose reverence for what He has done for me.
Keep my heart sincere, grateful, and humble before You.
Let my life continually honor and remember Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*Declaration*
I remember the sacrifice of Christ with gratitude.
My heart remains reverent before God.
I will not treat holy things casually.
My life honors Jesus daily.
Amen 🙏🏽
