LENT BLESSING TO MY CATHOLIC FOLLOWERS AND FRIENDS

May this season of Lent bring you closer to the love and grace of our Lord.

May it be a time of reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth.

As you seek to walk in humility, may your prayers be heard, your fasts be meaningful, and your acts of charity be a reflection of Christ’s love.

May the peace of Christ guide you through these forty days, and may His light shine brightly in your life now and always.

Morning prayer
Lord, you are my light and the strength of my life. Thank you for being with me on every step of my journey. Thank you for your unfailing and perfect concern for every detail of my life. Thank you for your perfect attentiveness to my needs. Lord, I believe that you can bring good from everything, even those things that are most difficult in life. I turn to you with the deepest mysteries of my life. Help me to face them all with confidence and courage. Give me your wisdom so that I can walk each day in faith, trusting in your perfect plan, even when that plan appears mysterious. Give me the grace to believe that you will fulfill all your promises in my life. May I begin to look for and expect great things from your hand. May my life be useful to you and bring glory to your name. Come, Holy Spirit, and fill me with greater affection for you. Open my heart so that I can experience your presence as I worship you. Teach me to value my calling as the path to deeper union with you. Give me the grace to stand firm on all that you have revealed to me. Help me to be more attentive to your purpose for me. Amen.

Don’t Allow Anyone To Control You
Respect your husband but don’t allow him to abuse you. Love your wife but don’t allow her to manipulate you. Honor your parents but don’t allow them to run your life.
Provide for your children but don’t give them everything they ask for. Teach them to accept ‘NO’ graciously. If you feed a lion every day for a year, he will never be able to hunt again.
Honor your pastor but read the Bible for yourself. Cults originate from following people blindly. You must also question what your professor teaches in the lecture halls. Be a student of life. Think for yourself.
Learn from others but don’t become them. Watch news with a grain of salt. Not everything from mainstream media is gospel truth. News is designed to influence, not to inform.
Surrender your control only to God. He has your best interest always. But as for fellow mankind, surround yourself with people who’re secure with your freedom and empowerment.

Morning prayer
Lord, you are always here for me. Thank you for the gift of another day. Thank you for your goodness and kindness today and always. Give me the courage to turn to you whenever I struggle so as to be filled with new hope in you. May I always seek you and always be attentive to your presence in my life. Lord, you see my heart, and you know what this day holds. Help me to hear and do all that you ask of me, today and always. You have done incredible things in my life. You have transformed my soul and recreated me in your mercy. Bestow upon me the gift of faith so that I will hear your voice and respond with the utmost generosity and belief. Use me to become an instrument of your unimaginable grace in the lives of others. Holy Spirit, l welcome you into my life today. Forgive me, and banish from me everything that does not exalt you. Show me how to put myself fully in your hands. Give me the grace to take another step toward the perfection you want for me. Help me to stay focused on you so that I can learn to rejoice in all things. Amen.

Just to be clear about holy water in the Catholic Church and some of you looking for a way to distract yourself from the issue at hand, learn this. . .
When a priest blesses your holy water outside mass, following the ritual, he will instruct you with the following words:
"The blessing of this water reminds us of Christ, the living water, and of the sacrament of baptism, in which we were born of water and the Holy Spirit. Whenever, therefore, we are sprinkled with this holy water or use it in blessing ourselves on entering the church or at home, we thank God for his priceless gift to us and we ask for his help to keep us faithful to the sacrament we have received in faith."
Did you see anywhere that he promises you that the water will give you a long life, or money, or a visa to America, or make you pass exams or kill your human enemies?
Below is the prayer which he says over the water. If you pay attention, you will see it is all about our baptism and salvation:
Blessed are you, Lord, all-powerful God,
who in Christ, the living water of salvation,
blessed and transformed us.
Grant that, when we are sprinkled with this water or make use of it,
we will be refreshed inwardly by the power of the Holy Spirit
and continue to walk in the new life we received at baptism.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

FRIENDS & ENEMIES:
When the devil wants to destroy you in life he uses your friends to finish you, he used Delilah to finish Samson in the Bible. And when God wants to promote you He uses your enemies to accomplish his duties. He used Saul cm Paul to spread his word to his people, for those who knows the Bible. If it wasn't because of our friends our enemies wouldn't know our secret in life.
In life we need to be more careful about about our friends more than our enemies. Most rats die with food in their mouths thinking that someone is feeding them, only to realize later that someone was killing them in form of feeding them!!.
There are friends who helps you in life so that it will be easy for them to destroys you later. Abraham went on a journey with Lot. God was silent until they separated then He spoke to Abraham again.
At a times it's the friends around you that push God away from you. Check your friends before they bush you into hell. Be wise my friend.

We must never get too busy making a living that we forget to live. I have always heard people tell me about planning for tomorrow. I totally agree with them but i also believe that i want to get to my tomorrow a healthy happy person and not a miserable person. As such, the journey to where i am going is as important as where i am going. On this journey to where we are going, let us have fun. Laugh. Make friends. Go out. Enjoy yourself. Reward yourself. Rest. Dont be another fulfilment of the statement that people spend half of their life using their health to chase wealth and then spend the next half using their wealth to chase health.

PRAYER FOR THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Father in heaven, all creation rightly gives you praise, for all life and all holiness come from you. In the plan of your wisdom she who bore the Christ in her womb was raised body and soul in glory to be with him in heaven. May we follow her example in reflecting your holiness and join in her hymn of endless love and praise. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

𝘼𝙐𝙂𝙐𝙎𝙏 15 | 𝙎𝙊𝙇𝙀𝙈𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙊𝙁 𝙈𝘼𝙍𝙔
On November 1, 1950, Pope Pius XII defined the Assumption of Mary to be a dogma of faith: “We pronounce, declare and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma that the immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory.” The pope proclaimed this dogma only after a broad consultation of bishops, theologians and laity. There were few dissenting voices. What the pope solemnly declared was already a common belief in the Catholic Church.
We find homilies on the Assumption going back to the sixth century. In following centuries, the Eastern Churches held steadily to the doctrine, but some authors in the West were hesitant. However by the 13th century there was universal agreement. The feast was celebrated under various names—Commemoration, Dormition, Passing, Assumption—from at least the fifth or sixth century. Today it is celebrated as a solemnity.
Scripture does not give an account of Mary’s assumption into heaven. Nevertheless, Revelation 12 speaks of a woman who is caught up in the battle between good and evil. Many see this woman as God’s people. Since Mary best embodies the people of both Old and New Testaments, her assumption can be seen as an exemplification of the woman’s victory.
Furthermore, in 1 Corinthians 15:20, Paul speaks of Christ’s resurrection as the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Since Mary is closely associated with all the mysteries of Jesus’ life, it is not surprising that the Holy Spirit has led the Church to believe in Mary’s share in his glorification. So close was she to Jesus on earth, she must be with him body and soul in heaven.

Apostles' Creed
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
