“Discipline your children, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to their death. A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty; rescue them, and you will have to do it again. Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar. The fear of the Lord leads to life; then one rests content, untouched by trouble.”

“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭18‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sending love and encouragement and prayers to you all. ❤️🙏🕊️

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was mad

How Can I Help?

Think about the last time someone was kind to you. Kindness is one of the most powerful forces on earth, and serving other people can transform someone’s life for good.

All of us have the ability to do good for someone, and God has gifted each of us with special abilities and talents that can be used to serve other people in our lives. Whether it’s a spiritual gift or a learned skill, you have unique opportunities to show kindness to those in need.

Paul, the writer of the letter to the Galatians, is careful to note that we won’t always have the opportunity to do good for others. We cannot know how many days we have left on earth, and we certainly don’t know how long certain people will be in our lives. That’s why we should use every opportunity to encourage and help others.

Serving and helping others is a form of love. When we take the time to help someone, we allow them to experience Jesus's love through us. Doing good for someone opens the door to conversations about the love that Jesus has for them.

Paul also says that we should help those who are believers. That is because those who are believers are our spiritual family. Just as we ought to care for our relatives, we should also look for opportunities to love those who are part of the Church.

How has God gifted you with talents and abilities to serve others?

Take some time to think about our children ministry if you can help.we will really appreciate

Are You Ready?

The greatest measure of who we are and what we love is how we spend our time.

Where do you spend most of your time? Most of us spend the majority of it with family, at work, or on hobbies. All of those are important things that we should invest in. But Jesus says there’s another thing that we need to spend time doing.

There are a lot of different ideas people have for when Jesus will return, but ultimately, Jesus says that nobody will know the time and date. He will come at a time when we least expect Him.

Until He does come, He says that we should be ready. We tend to spend most of our time working on finding the right career, pursuing certain relationships, or building wealth and possessions. And yet, none of those things will prepare us for when Jesus returns.

So what can we do to prepare?

The first thing is to put your faith in Jesus, by believing that He gave His life so that you could have eternal life. Next, commit to spending time with Him, confessing your mistakes and being transformed by His presence. Finally, continue to tell others about the great love that Jesus has for them. Continue to grow in your faith every day, and be faithful with the gifts that God has given you.

Today, spend some time in prayer considering who in your life needs to hear about the love Jesus has for them. Who can you share this great news with today?

New Future

Where would I be without the new life that I get to live in Christ? It’s honestly hard to imagine.

I’ll be real, though. I think what saddens me the most about myself and other Christ followers is when we fail to step into the reality of our new future, new mercies, new grace, and new life in Christ every single day. Do you remember when He first transformed your heart? It was so fresh that it felt like your eyes had been opened for the first time. Everything felt new, looked new, and was full of new joy and life. But over time, after that initial life change took place, perhaps you began to lose that fiery passion and zeal that you once had. Maybe it returns at times, but you wish you could experience that first moment of salvation again.

Where it all went wrong for me—and I’ll tell you, what I’m about to say is very countercultural—is when I started to put the pressure of my “new future” and my calling onto myself. What if I don’t get this new future right? What if I don’t live out my calling? What if I commit my time to the wrong thing? What if I don’t serve enough? What if I take it for granted? I immediately made it about me. I moved on from the free gift of being made new and straight to prioritizing what I could do for God instead of prioritizing being with God.

After a lot of burnout, identity issues, striving, and proving, I realized that, unfortunately, I had gotten it all wrong. I think I loved the idea of being used by God more than I liked being with God.

And then it dawned on me. In my weakness and humanity, I had failed to see what the Scripture really said:

He died for everyone so that those who receive His new life will no longer live for themselves. 2 Corinthians 5:15 NLT
It’s His new life! It’s not even my life to be concerned about anymore. I’m not supposed to live for myself. I had been chasing “my calling,” but the greatest calling had already been set before me at the moment of salvation: choosing to die to my own life and pick up the life of Christ. It’s Christ in us that makes us new. It’s His life that we get to live from.

And man, did that take the pressure off! When we realize that we have to die to ourselves and our motives, wants, needs, thoughts, feelings, and desires every day, and pick up those of Jesus, we begin to see the world, ourselves, and others in a completely different way. We get to bring a little piece of heaven to earth in the real life that can only be found in Christ. And it’s all free!

Pray:

God, forgive me for when I try to take up my old life instead of the life of Christ. Restore to me the joy and freedom that come with allowing Christ to live in me. Remind me daily to lay down my life and pick up the life of Christ, so that every morning is a chance to live out my new future. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Whose Voice am I Hearing?
“My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me.” John 10:27, TPT

Voices! Have you ever had a day when you’ve woken up to a chorus of voices in your mind? Me too. I remember one morning feeling like I was surrounded, ambushed even, by all these voices speaking at once and all I had done was open my eyes.

Now that was a day of recognising two key things!

God's voice wasn’t in all the noise and clammer that was surrounding me. Those voices were being intentional to cause anxiety, stress, overwhelm, worry, and energy drain.

God's voice and presence was in the flipped script of everything those voices were saying. It just needed to be interpreted, which looked like a pen and paper, and writing down everything I was hearing word for word then taking a closer look at all those thoughts to discover the truth.

For the longest time, I had sought to hear the Lord’s voice through scripture or the still small voice we hear about. It didn’t occur to me that the Lord would use noise as a way to communicate the very thing He was currently growing and developing within me.

When He started teaching me to flip the script and change the narrative, I started to become an expert at noticing my own thoughts and the impact they were having on my countenance, my language, my feelings and my beliefs. It was profound!

Many of us get caught up in wondering, “Is that God's voice?” and then get stuck trying to figure it out rather than moving into deeper dimensions of love and allowing His truth, frequency and sound to move through and transform us.

The Lord lets us see the limiting narratives and paradigms that we’ve been engaging in so that we can clearly recognise the truth and the way it is expanding, increasing, and ultimately transforming our thinking within us.

Activation:

It is a powerful tool to discern the noise that is overwhelming our thoughts. Once we identify them, we can then flip the script and rewrite the narrative. To help you in this process, answer these questions as you think about what you are thinking:

What am I hearing? What am I feeling? What spirit is behind that thought? What’s the opposite spirit? What’s the truth?

Here’s an example:

What am I hearing? “Did I hear God correctly?”

What am I feeling? “Anxiety”

What spirit is behind that thought? “Fear”

What’s the opposite spirit? “Trust”

What’s the truth? “I hear God’s voice. I am one of His sheep and I hear Him clearly. I’m growing and learning discernment.”

Now, keep in mind this is a practice thing. Practice being aware of God, aware of your thoughts and feelings, and aware of your countenance. Tune into the observer part of you and you will grow in your ability to recognise the noise and the truth that is hidden within it, as you allow the Holy Spirit to teach and show you.

Declaration:

I’m increasingly aware of God’s presence in my every day, when noise comes, I see it as an invitation to encounter truth instead.

Want a Clean Heart?

King David made some great decisions, but he also made some terrible ones. He had an affair with a woman named Bathsheba, for example, and attempted to conceal the secret by arranging the murder of her husband.

For someone who was considered “a man after God’s own heart,” David really messed up. And yet, we know from Scripture that David confessed his sin against the Lord (2 Samuel‬ ‭12‬:‭13‬) and can read about how he prayed for mercy in Psalm 51:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

If you’ve ever messed up, you’re in good company. Paul, the author behind much of the New Testament, writes in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Paul wasn't always a man who followed God's own heart, either—in fact, early in his life, he killed people who followed Jesus.

God did not abandon Paul. He did not exclude David. And He will not forsake you, either! God does not leave us to ourselves or our pasts, nor does He give us what we fully deserve. Instead, He put on skin and took our place. Jesus became the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for our sin—once and for all. He loves us, despite what we may have done!

If you’re longing for a second chance or craving a relationship with the one true God, but aren’t sure where to start, try borrowing some of David’s words. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

When we seek God, we realize that He’s already been seeking us.

God is faithful. He is who He says He is and He will do what He says He’ll do. He is your merciful Savior, He forgives your sins, and He not only makes your heart clean, but He also makes you a brand new creation.

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Pray

God of goodness, I come into Your presence so aware of my human frailty, and yet overwhelmed by Your love for me. I thank You that there is no experience that I can walk through where Your love cannot reach me. If I climb the highest mountain, You are there, and yet if I find myself in the darkest valley of my life, You are there. Teach me today to love You more. Help me to rest in that love that asks nothing more than the simple trusting heart of a child. Amen
