You only have 3 enemies

The Flesh. The World. The Devil. Of these three, the greatest is the flesh. You are your greatest enemy. No doubt the world tempts you. You’ll always see naked women. There will always be unfair judges, corrupt politicians and greedy relatives. And there’s a real devil working 24/7 with his demons to get you in hell. But most people don’t need the devil to lose in this life and spend eternity in hell.

Most of the sins we do are works of the flesh – NOT the devil – but self-destruction.

Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV) - 19Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Salvation is a gift. But character is not something given to us. We must develop winning habits. We cannot blame the devil for our choices! You choose who you sleep with. You choose how much you drink. You choose to call people nasty names. You choose to be jealous of your friend. You choose to be angry. You choose to consult witchdoctors. You cannot defeat an enemy you have not identified.
