*THE PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT* (PART 4)
_*Signs that you have the Holy Spirit*_
*1.You are born again!*
_No one is a Christian unless you have the holy spirit._
Romans 8 [NIV]
[vs: 9] And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
John 3 [NIV]
[vs: 5] Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
Ephesians 1 [NIV]
[vs: 13] And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
*2.You have confidence in your salvation*
Romans 8 [NIV]
[vs: 16] The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
*3.You have a strong desire for evangelism.You speak the word of God Boldly*
Acts 1 [NIV]
[vs: 8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 4 [NIV]
[vs: 31] After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
*4.You are more eager to overflow with hymns and spiritual songs*
Ephesians 5 [NIV]
[vs: 18] Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
[vs: 19] Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
*5. You get a deeper understanding of God and His will*
Romans 12 [NIV]
[vs: 2] Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
1 John 2 [NIV]
[vs: 27] As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

[vs: 5] Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
1 Corinthians 2 [NIV]
[vs: 12] We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
[vs: 13] This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
[vs: 14] The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
*6.You increasingly have victory over sin. Sin becomes disgusting to you*

[vs: 10] But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
Galatians 5 [NIV]
[vs: 16] So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
[vs: 17] For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.
[vs: 18] But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
*7.You have a Godly character*
Galatians 5 [NIV]
[vs: 22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
[vs: 23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
*8.You have spiritual gifts*
1 Corinthians 12 [NIV]
[vs: 7] Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
[vs: 8] To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,
[vs: 9] to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,
[vs: 10] to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.
*9.You have a strong love for Jesus and other saints*
Romans 5 [NIV]
[vs: 5] And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
John 13 [NIV]
[vs: 34] “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
[vs: 35] By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
_What is love?_
1 Corinthians 13 [NIV]
[vs: 4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
[vs: 5] It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
[vs: 6] Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
[vs: 7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
