Happy New Year 2026
YEAR OF THE LORD,OF BUILDING & REBUILDING.
Amos 9:11 .. I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,
-Lord will build our life,economy,Church,family and business which has fallen.
Jer 31:4 I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt,...
Acts 20:32 "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
I commit you all to the Lord where you will be built again and rebuilt and give you a blessing in the year 2026.

HOW TO IDENTIFY "PHARISEE'S" IN YOUR CHURCH.
(1). They go to work early but come to church late.
(2). They beg their boss when they err but threaten to leave church whenever there is a misunderstanding.
(3). They work hard to be promoted at work but treat the work of God with levity.
(4). They pay all their dues in the workplace but refuse to pay tithe or willingly give offering in the church. (They said it's a scam)
(5). They buy costly things for their boss to get favour but can't even buy airtime for their pastor.
(6). When they are not going to be in the office, they take permission ahead from their superior; but expect pastor and elders to pay them visits when they miss church without notice.
(7). They fear and respect their boss than their pastor and even sometimes more than God.
(8). When they are sick they manage to go to work but they cannot manage to come to the church.
(9). They take official query serious but handle divine rebuke with disdain.
(10). They tolerate their colleagues in the workplace but cannot tolerate the brethren.
(11). They turn off their phones at workplace, but use calls to distract other worshippers in Church and even Facebook and chat in church.
(12). They can work overtime in the office but get offended at the pastor if he's not closing
at the stipulated time.
These are great observations that
must be seriously considered and heeded by all who are mindful of their personal relationship with God.

Finding Rest in Christ

Jesus Himself is our Sabbath. In Him, we find the rest our souls long for—spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and ultimately in eternity.

Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Psalm 23:1 – “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”

John 10:9 – “I am the door; whoever enters through Me will be saved.”
→ Jesus is our doorway into true rest.

1. Spiritual Rest

Spiritual rest comes when we stop trying to convince God how heavy our burdens are and instead trust Him enough to surrender them.
Faith replaces striving. His presence replaces our anxiety.

2. Emotional Rest

1 Peter 5:7 – “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.”
Emotional rest flows from handing over our internal worries, fears, and anxieties to God.
We rest when we believe He genuinely cares.

3. Relational Rest

Christ brings peace in our relationships:

With the Father – We no longer strive for acceptance. In Christ, we are already loved and welcomed.

With Men – His peace empowers us to live at peace with others, free from bitterness, competition, or insecurity.

4. Eschatological Rest

Beyond this life, Jesus promises eternal rest—the final Sabbath in His presence.
This is the ultimate hope of every believer: that our earthly struggles will give way to heavenly peace
