SUNDAY SERVICE
31st of August

Ephesians 5:21-33, Christian household:

*For Husbands:*

- Love your wife sacrificially, just as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25)
- Be willing to give yourself up for your wife, just as Christ gave Himself up for the church (Ephesians 5:25)
- Nurture and care for your wife, just as Christ does for the church (Ephesians 5:29)
- Treat your wife with respect and honor, recognizing her value and worth in God's eyes (Ephesians 5:33)

*For Wives:*

- Submit to your husband, just as the church submits to Christ (Ephesians 5:22)
- Respect and reverence your husband, recognizing the role God has given him in your life (Ephesians 5:33)
- Support and complement your husband, working together as a team in your marriage (Ephesians 5:22-24)

*For the Household:*

- Live in harmony and mutual respect, recognizing that you are one in Christ (Ephesians 5:21)
- Prioritize love, forgiveness, and kindness in your relationships with one another
- Seek to build each other up and support one another in your walk with God

These instructions emphasize the importance of mutual respect, love, and submission in a Christian household. By following these principles, Christian families can build strong, healthy relationships that honor God and reflect His love to the world.

Have you ever felt like quitting?
I have. Maybe you've wanted to quit at work, at church, or in relationships, like your marriage or with your kids. Perhaps you've even thought about giving up in life itself. Maybe you've thought, "I just don't know if I want to do this anymore.''

What do we do when we feel that way? The choices we make in response to those hard times in life affect the outcome.

Elijah is a character in the Bible who had high points, low points, and everything in between. Elijah experienced major victories in his ministry, but he also experienced painful struggles, like we all do. He wanted to give up.

We see God working in Elijah's life to build his faith, lovingly pull him up from the pit, and set his feet back on the path of following Him. God didn't give up on Elijah, and He won't give up on you or me either.

I want to choose faith, like Elijah did, and I know you too do.

1 Kings 16 and 17 go through the passage.

God bless you.

Pastor Benjamin Kijabe. 1Samuel 17:32-51. The battle belongs to God. Even when we face giants, our strength comes from Him. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. (2 Cor. 10:4) Armor up with faith, salvation, and the Word, your victory may be right in the middle of the fight.

Pastor Kijabe : Even when we drift, God’s call remains. Like Peter, we may return to old ways after failure or delay, but Jesus meets us there, repeats His miracles, and reignites our purpose. ‘At Your word, I will do it’ (Luke 5:5).
