Topic: we are more than conquerors
Romans8:35-39
V35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulations, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
V37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us
Reflection:
Life is full of ups and downs. Majority of us today we are on the down side of life. One or more of the enemies mentioned in v35 is following you. Possibly you are feeling that you have no more strength to move on. You are asking yourself , for how long will your negative situation remain. You feel overwhelmed, and almost collapsing in defeat. Hear ye the word of the lord. It is not time to give up. Do not let your heart to fail you. You are more than a conqueror. Your situation will not defeat you, but you are going to defeat it, in Jesus mighty name. Do not quit, for quitters never win. You are a winner, and winners never quit. You are going to make it, the lord being on your side, you can not be defeated.
The Israelites faced many challenges on their journey from Egypt( captivity) to Canaan( destiny). But in all of them, God overcame for them. Even us in our days, God will overcome for us. He is the Lord of hosts- the general of his army- that can never be defeated. Hold on to him for just a moment. He says, " the enemies that you see today you shall never see them again"-exodus 14. The lord will save you from the perils, lack, sicknesses, etc that you are facing today.
Lesson:
1. Hold on to God. Keep your faith in him and his word
2. Seek to know the right strategy to adopt. The strategy to defeat Jericho was not the same for defeating Ai. Gideon's strategy was different from that of Samson.
3. Let the Lord fight the battle for you. You shall overcome, not because of your strength and ability, but by the power of the almighty God.
Paul confidently puts it plainly, " in all these things we are more than conquerors, through Him who loved us.

The fulfillment of God's promises

Genesis 13:14-18 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are now- northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you. Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an alter there to the Lord.
Reflection:
Abram had come from Ur of Chaldeans, through Haran, and settled in Canaan. He was with him Lot his nephew. Both had been blessed with flocks. Their shepherds often strived, to a point where Abram and Lot had to part ways. Its after they parted that God spoke to Abram the words we have read. God officially handed over the promised land to Abram.
Lessons:
1. There are some blessings we shall not achieve until we change the people that surrounds us. Am sorry to inform you that sometimes we must part with some of the people who form our close circle , to receive what God has kept for us.
2. You must be able to look and see. The extent of the land that God gave Abram depended on the ability to look and see that Abram had. Our spiritual eyes must be strong, must see what we ought to see, by faith.
3.The lord told Abram to arise and walk through the land, its length and width. You must have the strength to arise, and walk through , to your blessings. Do not doubt.
4. After Abram settled in the land, he built an alter to the lord. We must seal the fulfilment of every blessing by an alter- a sacrifice from our hearts unto God, as a way of appreciation of what he has done.
Prayer:
Mighty God, you are the promise fulfilling God. May all your promises to us be fulfilled. Amen!.

Topic: Let the lord lead you
Gen 12: 1-5 we read of how Abram was called by God and he let the lord lead him on the way. The lord led him to his destiny, success, and blessing.
Gen 24: 12-27 Abraham sent his servant to seek a wife for his son Isaac. The servant prayed to God to lead him, and for sure, God led him to the ancestral home of Abraham, Rebecca met the conditions he had set before God, and thereafter took her to Isaac.
Gen 28: 10-22, Jacob, on his way to escape from his brother Esau, and on his mission to take a wife from laban' s home, he dreamt, and upon awaking, he pleaded with God to lead him in his mission. God went with Jacob, and after over 14 years, led him back to his father's house, full of riches and a large family
Joshua 7: we read of how Israelites were defeated by a small town Air, simply because , when they went to that battle, they had not enquired from the lord.
The bible is full of many other scriptures that show good examples of people who let the lord to lead them. The results were that they attained their victory and success. They achieved their dreams and visions. They realized their destinies in God.
The bible also have bad examples of those who did not allow the lord to lead them. They led themselves according to their will and desires. The results were defeat and failure. They ended in shame, failure to realize their visions and destinies. Think of persons like Samson, king Ahab, Judas Iscariot, many others.
Today, God is calling you and me to subject ourselves to his will. He is calling us to submit our desires to his desires, our will to his will, and our ways to his ways. Let us allow the lord to lead us, for he knows all the way, from A to Z. The bible says he knows he end from the beginning. He knows what is best for us, and the best way to attain it. When we allow him to lead us, he will lead us to places of green pastures and cool waters (psalms 23).
Let the lord lead you on daily basis.
Amen!

Topic: LOVE ONE ANOTHER
John 13:34- 35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another,as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Brethren, this is a new day that God have given to us, and we thank Him for that. His grace and mercy has kept us going. Praise the lord.
Today , let us share briefly on the topic of love. According to the verse we have read, it is only when the believers would love one another that the world would know that they are truly the disciples of Jesus Christ. Love for one another is the whole mark for heavenly bound children of God. Here, Jesus is talking about love for fellow people. Love for your family members, distant relatives, neighbours, and the general populace.
By this words, according to Jesus, there is no room for grudge, bitterness, hatred, and all other non- love issues. Harbouring these things will obstruct you from your journey in this life, and more so your journey to heaven. Love for others is the key to open up your blessings and destiny in God.
Jesus call it , a new commandment. Meaning it is an order, not a request. Loving others is not a choice but an order.
It worries me when I hear someone say that he can not speak to so and so, that he cannot relate with so and so, and things of that kind. Such a person is on his/her way to self destruction in this life and eternal life in hell. We must relate well with all people in love, if we desire to have a victorious life here on earth, and spend eternity with Jesus.
Read the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-46, I was hungry and you gave me food, in prison and you visited me, etc. The actions mentioned here are actions of love. We must love one another unconditionally.
My dear ones, how many people have you kept in the list of haters? Someone did ABC's to you and you vowed to do xyz to them! Pliz, when love is present, there is no room for grudges, hatred, etc.
Blessings!!

Topic: Giving thanks to God
Psalms 118:1-4
V1:Oh give thanks to the lord, for He is good! Because His mercy endures forever
Today marks the tenth Sunday since the government stopped the gatherings including the church services. It had been estimated that by the end of April, there shall be 10,000 covid 19 positive cases in Kenya. Someone was quoted as saying that the streets of African countries/towns will be full of corpses resulting from the epidemic. But thanks be to God, for His mercies. None of this prophecies of doom have been fulfilled and will never be fulfilled.
Oh our God is good, and His mercy endures forever.
Am not ignorant to the fact that since this pandemic began, people have lost jobs, some have lost businesses, others their source of income have been extremely affected, but thanks to God for you are not yet finished.
Despite of what you are going through, and how life is treating you, especially in this covid 19 season; there is still a reason to give thanks to God.
Thank God that you are still alive, for life is better than all the other blessings.
Thank God for his provision of daily bread. You may not have a food store but you will never go hungry/starve.
Thank God for good health, and His day to day healing. Visit to hospitals have reduced. God have also been healing covid19 patients even as the GoK and the world says there is no cure.
And this list is endless....
No matter how things are, look around and you will see the blessings of the lord in your life. Count your blessings one by one and see that the lord is good.
Its because of his mercy that we are not consumed. Today and in the days to come, take time to give thanks to God. Refuse to let the devil show you what you are lacking, focus on what God is doing. As we thank him more, he will do even more for us.
May your tongue and lips offer a sacrifice of thanks giving to God each day of your life. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.

TOPIC: YOU WILL ARISE AGAIN
Reading: Micah 7:7-8
V7.Therefore I will look to the lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me
V8. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy, when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.
Reflection:
Micah was a prophet in Israel at a time when the Israelites were facing challenges and calamities as a punishment from God for their injustices. Their surrounding communities were rejoicing over them as they suffered. But the Israelites knew where to turn to in times of difficulties. The whole community turned to God for help and salvation, and indeed, God heard them and came through for them.
Life is made up of downs and ups. There are seasons when things are favourable and other seasons when nothing seems to work. Many a time that as we pass through such seasons we feel low and discouraged. Am talking to someone who feels that things are no longer the way they seemed before. Your businesses have gone done, your employment is no longer there or its very unstable. Your family is crumbling down and things of the sort. No season is permanent. I hear the lord say to you that your season of discouragement is coming to an end. Your season of things not working as you desire is soon coming to an end. You will arise again. You will not be down forever. You will not remain in darkness for ever. You will not be defeated for ever. Your business is rising again. Your family warmth and love is reigniting again.
It’s time to seek the lord of Israel. It’s time to look unto the lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It’s time to wait on God of our salvation. He is well able, more than able to intervene in our season, for with God, nothing is impossible.
Prayer:
Lord God, we ask that you intervene for us. Do not allow the enemy, the situation, the season, to have an upper arm over us. May you shine your light in our areas of darkness. Cause us to arise again. Cause our businesses, our families, and our nation, to arise again. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.
