Bishop Kamiri served the Diocese for two terms until Dec 2012 when the current Bishop Godfrey Mambo was elected and consecrated in April 2013. The diocese has currently a total number of 60 churches and fellowships. Under the able leadership of Bishop Godfrey Mambo the current Diocese council came up with the idea of a strategic plan after a seminar held at Senate Hotel Juja on 17th July 2013. Con
sequently a retreat for the diocese council members was held at Coffee Research Foundation Resort- Ruiru on 14th – 16th Nov 2013 to draft the proposed strategic plan. Other subsequent meetings for pastors and church leaders were held on 18th Jan and 15th Feb 2014 to solicit additional ideas and adoption of the document. The Bishop and Diocese council members are grateful to God and the leaders who have participated in the preparation of this important document. We believe that by following the laid down strategies in this document Nairobi diocese will grow in leaps and bounds
The diocese council is now composed of chairman – Bishop Godfrey Mambo, General overseer Rev. Charles Ndung’u, Rev. Frank Kirugara, Rev. Daniel Kiarie, Rev. Muturi Munene, Rev. Peter Ndung’u and Rev. Kahura. The Diocese up to now does not have a permanent administration block and as such is housed in CCi Gatundu where Bishop serves as a minister. The Diocese has one office employee (secretary/finance officer) MS Mary Mbugua. The Diocese council wishes to give thanks to Joy Family Juja church leadership and members for hosting the Diocese headquarters for ten years and also to pastor Gitari as acting finance officer and Mrs. Gladys Maina for acting as the secretary for the Diocese since its inception up to February 2013. May God bless them. The Diocese is set to reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple them. We value and love people passionately and we are totally committed to the great commission and we believe that every believer has a place and ministry in the church of Jesus Christ.
